This tented house offers a kitchenette, en suite bathroom and a private veranda and boma area with a fire pit. Great location, away from the residential life and all the noises that come with it. Very serene environment with wild-life and mother nature all around. The breakfast was self-catered so just the way we like it.

Guests will find a refrigerator and a microwave in the kitchenette. The tent also comes with a barbecue. The tent has air conditioning, a patio and garden views. The unit has 3 beds. I loved the peaceful relaxing atmosphere and waking up in the morning and literally seeing wild animals from my window! It was so relaxing! Johan is the most friendly and interactive host! My mother and I booked onto one of his game drives at the lodge staring at 5AM and I cannot recommend it highly enough! It was the most incredible experience we have ever had ! Honestly its the best value for money and the next time I am back in south Africa I will go straight back there!

I was worried about staying at Little Mongena during winter. And I can confirm that you should not be concerned about visiting them during winter. Little Mongena goes out of their way to keep you warm, and we had blast meeting people from all over the world, the food and the game drives.

This tent has a electric kettle, private entrance and seating area. The tents are well equipped and well Maintained. We spotted few animals passing by next to the camp. I loved everything about Thorn tree camp and will definitely do it again.
