A recently renovated campground located in Bidiyah, Al Salam Desert Camp Bidiya features a shared lounge. Access was easy: we were not driving 4 wheel cars and we did not have any problem in arriving to the camp. The camp is very well organised. The dunes behind are extremely convenient as they are just closeby. Tents are impressive, the bed was very confortable. The individual bathroom very convenient, excellent to see the stars while having shower. Staff is very friendly and helpfull, Sohel very nice. We enjoyed several of the proposed activities. We had the opportunity to enjoy different omani meals at the dinner, breakfast was also very good.

They only have 5 tents isolated from the town, which makes for a more quiet and secluded experience. Dinner was delicious and breakfast much beyond our expectations. Service was impeccable and Faiz was extremely attentive, nice and polite. He truly cares for every single guest and makes sure that you have all that you need. He even stopped to show us a couple of baby camels on our way back to town.

Trust me, this is one of the best camps in Oman. I have visited many camps but this one is the best of the best. The breakfast was very delicious with fresh vegetables and beef. The owner of the camp was very kind and picked me up from Bidya to the desert.The drive from Bidya to the camp in a Nissan Patrol Safary 4 WD ohhh this is my love. One day I will buy this car and drive to the desert again. We rented camels, quads, open fire, good beads all the best. Believe me, it's better than you might think.

Located 50 km from Wadi Bin Khalid, SAFARI-Glamping offers accommodation in Bidiyah-20 kms inside the desert from the village Al Hawaiyah. Our experience at Safari Glamping was really amazing. We tried a lot of delicious traditional food, rented quad bike from a nearby camp, which is owned by the same person, and he invited us for a dinner at this bigger camp, where we had the opportunity to speak with him about his life as a beduin. The host in our camp was really nice and helpful, prepared fire and a really good food for us and as we were lucky to be alone there, we had a chance to speak with him. The room was really clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We drove to the camp by our 4WD car and it was simple and without any problem. You just need to have your tires deflated beforehand. 100% recommended experience worth the money.
