Good location in the old city and one short block from the waterfront. Easy walk to Plaza Independencia/the old city gate and the pedestrianized street that leads to the Mercado del Puerto. Boasting a shared lounge, FAUNA Montevideo is situated in Montevideo, less than 1 km from Independencia Square. I have never met kinder and more helpful hosts than Jeronimo and Soledad! They helped with everything in terms of check-in to restaurant and even live music suggestions. The location of the hotel is fantastic near many little restaurants and cafes. Our room was well designed and the beds comfortable. We loved the vintage inspired common area where we could have our coffee and plan for the day. They even have a little bar with complimentary drinks to try! I can’t recommend this place enough! 11/10 for us and we hope to be back!!
