The Alma Hotel exceeded our expectations in all regards. The hotel, our room, the staff and location were all superlative. Hidalgo and Nelson booked us with good restaurants, were so helpful with travel plans, and went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Breakfast of omelets, baked goods, fruit and coffee was generous and delicious. The Cuidad Vieja was a lovely place to stay, plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and it was quiet and safe.

Great location, two blocks from the waterfront and central to the old city. Several nice design touches in the room. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly and quite helpful staff. My son got bit by a dog in Buenos Aires and needed to get his third rabies vaccine in Montevideo. The staff made phone calls for us and found out the hospital we needed to visit to get his vaccine and the hours they were open for this. She was a real life-saver in a complicated situation for us. Would gladly stay here again.

El Don es un exclusivo hotel boutique de arquitectura Art Déco e interiores modernos. Really cool location right opposite the fantastic old market. The room was beautiful. Stunning in a supercool designer kinda way. Super comfy bed. Great omelette. Wonderful staff member on reception.
