The hotel staff were more than friendly. They helped me when I was in a bit of a jam, making it apparent that this is a small independently owned business, who treats their guests like humans.

Set in a restored 1884 Victorian mansion, the Melrose Mansion is situated in New Orleans' celebrated French Quarter on the historic Esplanade Avenue. Location was perfect and within walking to everything!!! Had a wonderful Honeymoon, staff is Great!!!

Full of character and beauty. They have done such an incredible job preserving the original building while making it very accommodating for modern travel. The neighbourhood is gorgeous and quiet and only a stones throw away from the French quarter. The folk who run it are also wonderful company.

Comfy bed but not much room to move in the room and bathroom. Not much of a problem as only used for sleeping. Nice to have parking too.
