Boasting a garden and a terrace, Casacool Hotel is set in Khao Lak and is 700 metres from Tsunami Memorial - Rue Tor 813. Nam and Gai, are fantastic hosts, so kind and welcoming, you feel like home away from home. The breakfast is amazing, everyday a ton of fresh fruit, bread, eggs your way, pastry and coffee, tea or water. The location is great and if you need any help, Nam will help you. I booked a tour with them, got a huge discount which I really appreciate. Oh and laundry service is for free!

Location very near of the hustle and bustle of Bang Niang, but very quiet and peaceful. Everything in very good condition, spotlessly clean and fresh. Bed is much more comfortable than usually in Thailand. Small kitchenette and proper fridge for longer stays. Aircon is clean, quiet and effective.

A 5-minute walk from Bang Niang Beach, White Cat Hotel features comfortable rooms with air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. The hotel features a tour desk, which organises excursion to tourist... The owner was absolutely lovely. Really friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and I had a great night's sleep.

They kept our luggage safe while we were on a day trip, returned me a ring I had forgotten in my room, they offered us towels to take a shower after our day trip (even though our check out was early that day), they saw me struggling with my suitcase lock and did everything in their hands to help and they even set up the coffee and bread early for us since we had to leave very early for our day trip. They went beyond the extra mile. Is in a very convenient location, bars and restaurants at a walking distance.

Nautical Home B&B Khaolak is 200 metres from Tsunami Memorial. It offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi. Really great location, close to restaurants and everything you need! Very clean, safe, and quiet even though you are next to everything. Staff were so wonderful and kind. Had my laundry done with them, they booked taxis for me when needed, and gave helpful suggestions for my daily plans. Really enjoyed the breakfast as well, with delicious pancakes, eggs made any way you want them, toast, and I especially loved the homemade yogurt!

The best location in Khao Lak, within close vicinity of restaurants and other service. Beautiful beach, and beach area of the hotel with comfortable beachbeds. Impeccably clean rooms and common areas. Comfortable beds, strong but quiet AC. Helpful and polite staff everywhere - reception, restaurant, beachbed area, cleaning. Very good breakfast buffet with enough variety for our 2-week stay. The pool is large enough (~30m on its long side) and 1.20m deep which is good for both swimming and hanging out. The beach is clean, sandy, no stones or seagrass - just perfect. The seawater is not island-style crystal-clear and was usually murky, but this is to be expected. (Take a trip to Similan islands for postcard-quality powdery-sand beaches with transparent water.) Guests were very few when we stay, origin was mixed, including China, Thai, Sweden, Russia, everyone was well behaved, there were families with children and older couples. The vibe is calm and relaxed, not the drinking-and-partying type. Our stay included a New Year’s Eve celebration. I strongly recommend it, it had a nice entertainment program with music alternating between West and Thai favourites, and the highlight of the program for me was the Fire Show, which was very impressive. The beach area of the hotel is well maintained and better than the hotels lining the beach to the north, where you can see some erosion of the sand and concrete structures to enforce the facilities. It is possible to take a walk along the beach to the south, we walked for several km, it is almost empty. If you decide to go far, mind the tides, because the small creek south from La Vela hotel can fill so much during high tide, that you would have to wade chest-level water or swim through it to cross, and there doesn’t seem to be another way to go around it anywhere near.
