Hotel also has washing machines and dryers on premises. The famous temple Heian Jinyu is an 8 min walk away, as is the Kyoto City Zoo. 18 min away is the Nanzen Ji Temple. These places are less crowded and yet very beautiful.

Giappo Franca is on a quiet road and still close to everything. When I arrived, the staff were extremely helpful and explained everything I might need to know. Sylvia told me about an art show the hotel was hosting and explained the artist's series of the places in Japan from Tokyo to Kyoto. Very cool indeed. My room was spacious, clean and covered in tatami mats and it even smelled good. I had a Japanese bed and there were instructions on how to use a futon. The bathroom had a nice Japanese bath and nice soaps and shampoo available. There was even a cute little outdoor sitting area outside my room. I had an early flight out of Kansai International Airport and the staff could not have been more helpful in assisting me in finding the best way to get there. Before starting the trip, tadashi-san got really involved with us and helped us with all our questions. He was really kind and helpful. His guesthouse is incredible, an authentic ryokan experience. Please if you are going to stay in Tadashi's guesthouse be polite and kind, he is a really good person and he will help you with everything. His wife Yuki-san is also lovely!

Tadashi insisted on picking me up from the train station, on his day off as well. Himself and Yuki are lovely people and very welcoming. Everthing is meticulously clean and the bed was so comfortable, i had the first decent nights sleep since arriving in Japan 6 days previous. There is a view of a Buddhist temple out of the bedroom window and the neighbourhood where the property is seems safe and quiet.

Das Essen war ausserordentlichen gut, das Personal sehr zuvorkommend (wie überall in Japan) und das Zimmer perfekt ausgestattet. Wir haben die private Sauna gebucht und waren absolut hin und weg.
