Fantastic 3-night stay in Gion, the best hotel we’ve stayed at on our trip to Japan. Rooms are spacious, clean, modern, and the hotel has everything you need (laundry and ice machine, and any extra amenities on ground floor). Staff are very friendly and helpful with any questions you may have, and allowed us to keep our bags at the hotel before check-in and also for a few hours after check out. The location is perfect to explore central Kyoto and only a 10-min walk to the Chion-in Temple and Maruyama Park.

In a prime location in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, NOHGA HOTEL KIYOMIZU KYOTO is located 1.2 km from Kiyomizu-dera Temple, 1.1 km from Sanjusangen-do Temple and 1.3 km from Gion Shijo... Best hotel we stayed in for Japan! We booked a standard double bed and the room was huge! We were happy we did not upgrade upon arrival as there was no need to in the end. We were sorry we didn't stay here longer and do a day trip or two to Osaka instead, as Osaka is only a 15 min Bullet Train ride and every hotel after this was a let down as they were so cramped and more expensive. There's so much to do in Kyoto too! The bar upstairs is unbelievable and the cocktails and mocktails were unreal. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were so lovely!

Attractively located in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, Rinn Gion Yasaka is located 1 km from Gion Shijo Station, 1.5 km from Sanjusangen-do Temple and 1.5 km from Samurai Kembu Kyoto. The coziest, cleanest hotel we stayed at. The rooms are beautiful, divided into riokan and western sections. We enjoyed eating on tatami mats and sleeping on foutons.

Awarded two pavilions by the Michelin Guide 2020, Hotel Alza Kyoto is situated near the Kamo River and within Gion District, a 2-minute walk from Sanjo Station. What a little gem this is, a beautiful room that is classy and really huge, beautiful view of the Kamo river, you are close to a lot of interesting places. Love to take a night stroll around the area. I have been in Kyoto 3 times, and this is the best hotel by far. Staffs speak good english and really friendly

Set in Kyoto, 500 metres from Shoren-in Temple, Waka Heian Shirakawa Hotel features views of the city. Great location : close to many shrines we wanted to see, also close to metro station where you can easily reach to kyoto main station. Staff was great, room is clean, all additional items such as pyjamas, slippers, brush etc were very nice

Ideally set in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, Miru Kyoto Gion is located 300 metres from Gion Shijo Station, 1.2 km from Shoren-in Temple and 1.9 km from Heian Shrine. The facility is very new, modern Japanese setting, the room has all the amenities you would need plus more. The staffs are very helpful and very much able when it comes to communicating and rcommendations of near by good places to eat.

Located in Kyoto, less than 1 km from Gion Shijo Station, Gion Elite Terrace provides accommodation with a shared lounge, private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Great location, very close to many tourist resorts such as Kiyomizu-dera, Kodak-ji, Ninen-zaka & Sannen-zaka. Also very convenient to take bus to everywhere else. The staff members are very nice and warm-hearted, they helped me with reservations of several hot restaurants. Ms Becky is one of the best.

Ideally situated in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, Hotel Legasta Kyoto Higashiyama Sanjo is set 600 metres from Shoren-in Temple, 1.2 km from Heian Shrine and 1.2 km from Gion Shijo Station. The room was gorgeous and the bed was super comfy. Also very spacious!

Well set in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, Rinn Gion Kenninji Villa is set 1.1 km from Samurai Kembu Kyoto, 1.5 km from Shoren-in Temple and 1.7 km from Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall. to travel through the dark night from busy Osaka and arrive in Kyoto Gion district to helpful staff and a spacious, immaculate room with lovely beds and impressive bathroom is the best way to start a holiday. Then awake to find everything on your doorstep, temple, food, subway entry, geishas walking to work... and of course vending machines with everything needed.
