The owners are incredibly kind and very generous with their time. They provided us with terrific recommendations for the area and went out of their way to book vespas for us to tour around the Lake and recommended some fantastic places to visit. Nothing is too difficult for them! Very clean rooms with daily housekeeping. Located close to a supermarket, and a great selection of bars and restaurants and gelaterias. It’s a bit of a walk into the old town but for us that was a positive as we like to walk as our way of exploring the area and we found the food options to be better in the area of the hotel than in old town. It’s only a short walk to the beach for a swim!

The two sisters and the gentlemen that run it work hard to ensure you enjoy your stay, they are so lovely. Breakfast is very enjoyable and freshly made and the coffee is lovely . Our rooms were very comfortable and had been recently renovated, air conditioning was good. I would try to get one with a full sea view next time we stay - and we will be back. We got a taxi to the hotel from Desenzano train station and the hotel organised this for us on the way home. They also gave us great information on the local markets and what towns to visit and how best to get to them. We used the shuttle bus a few times to get to the old town (costs €1 if you buy the tickets in advance or €1.50 if you buy them onboard) but mostly we walked, it takes about 30 minutes and is a really lovely walk. The old town is amazing, I felt as if we were on a film set at times it is so beautiful.

It was great, the staff were lovely, our room was perfect and very clean, albeit this is not a 5 star hotel but perfectly adequate for our stay, which was meant to be 5 days but we extended it to 7 and would have stayed for 9 if there was availability. The pool was a good size and just what we needed on our rest days. Breakfast was good and plenty to choose from. The hotel is close enough to the bus stop which made getting in to the town very easy, buses come every 20 minutes. Sirmione is one of the most beautiful towns to stay in on the lake. We traveled the whole of the lake and this was by far our favourite.

Lovely stroll to the old town of Sirmione to visit castle. Big and comfy bed. Clean and friendly staff. There are many restaurants nearby . Great breakfast with lots of choices.

The hotel is a bit far from the old town, but we enjoyed our walk on the lake shore! We had a room on the second floor, where the renovation is not done yet, but still, everything was very comfy and clean. The breakfast was good, with a big variety of food (not only pastries and coffee as usual in Italy).

Fantastic hotel, from the moment we walked through the door everyone was friendly. The hotel is spotless, lovely breakfast, clean pool. Great location for getting the bus to other areas. Some very good restaurants around to eat in the evening. We will definitely be back again.

L'Hotel Porto Azzurro si trova in una zona residenziale tranquilla, a pochi metri dalle sponde del Lago di Garda. Se ricercate una vacanza rilassante, questo è il posto giusto. Personale molto gentile. Colazione fantastica. C'era di tutto. Camere pulite e ambiente ben curato. Piscina spettacolare.
