Embodying the 110-year-old legacy of John Jacob Astor IV, our 5-star hotel in South Mumbai made its debut as the first St. Regis hotel in India. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and so much variety was available. The restaurants on site are exceptional. We had dinner on the 37th floor at MeKong and it was amazing. Another night we ate in the more casual restaurant and the variety of food and taste were exceptional. Our personal butler Mao was extremely friendly and provided us with amazing service. I highly recommend the St Regis Mumbai

Situated just 500 metres away from the famous and bustling Crawford Market and 3.2 km away from Gateway of India, Elphinstone Hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and modern air-conditioned rooms. I've reviewed this property several times now, but let me add a few more thoughts. In terms of value, one would be hard pressed to find a better property in south Mumbai. The staff are excellent, and the manager runs the property with the client top of mind. I've stayed there twice and if/when I return to Mumbai, I will stay there again. In my opinion, it's worth the extra money to arrange a deluxe room as they are much larger and also have windows. Also, do not be afraid to get out and walk the area. Cabs are really not necessary. The Crawford market, the Gateway to India, the Train station and all of the important buildings are within walking distance of the Elphinstone.
