We only stayed in Thibodaux because it was well located for our trip exploring the swamp areas south of New Orleans. Also, photographs of the old town looked interesting, although it turned out to be disappointing as nothing was open in the early evening.

AN THE MEN STAYING THERE KEPT SIDE DOOR UNLOCK SO THEY COULD SIT OUTSIDE AN DRINK ALL NIGHT,THEY LEFT THEIR BEER BOTTLES ON SIDEWALK AN PLAYED THEIR MUSIC LOUD. AN THE GUEST UPSTAIRS WAS VERY NOISE THEY COULD BE HEARD FROM OUR ROOM DOWNSTAIRS. IT WAS NOT A GOOD STAY,LEFT THE NEXT MORNING AN GOT A ROOM AN THE HAMPTON INN. WILL NOT BE RETURNIN THERE. We needed a room last minute in Thibodaux and stumbled upon their last free room without doing much research before booking: it was a great surprise! The room was clean and comfortable, the location is perfect as it's right in the middle of the historic district. We chose not to have breakfast but we appreciated the free coffee and tea. We enjoyed sitting on the verandah right outside the room!

It is close enough to the center of town and much of the attractions without you getting stuck in traffic. The room was clean and easy to maintain. The shower was amazing! Plenty of hot water and the best water pressure I've ever had at a hotel. Loved the shower head as it had a few settings and all of them maintained the same water pressure.
