Our room was clean and this motel was in a very convenient location. As I have said in other reviews for other hotels and motels of this caliber, get rid of the traditional breakfast and offer a nice continental breakfast. As it was the breakfast offering was above average

We went to visit Caverns of Sonora, which was great, and worth the trip. Aside from that, there isn't anything else in Sonora. The town felt safe enough. Food was ok, but nothing special. We stopped about 30 or 40 minutes away at Fort Mckavett and took the walking tour. We like history and found it interesting. It was a nice side trip off the beaten path. We were the only ones there.

Sonora has a unique cave with formations not found in other caves. I have visited several times, but this time the guide was far more knowledgable. It is appropriate for adults and older children.

The manager was the friendliest hostess and we enjoyed talking with her over our coffee and cereal/fruit. We’d definitely stay again. The pool appears to be under renovation. We are finding these smaller, privately owned motels are comparable, if not nicer than chains.
