Location was excellent. In middle of downtown. Good places to eat. We walked all over the town. Town is on grid with streets. You can’t get lost. Parked car and never got back in it over 3 days. Lots of stores to walk through. History of buildings in town. Think 1880’s. Great small town feeling. Many interesting really old houses and stories

The Hummingbird Suite is quite possibly the nicest place we've ever stayed. We wished we would have been able to stay longer, like a week! It's so comfortable and restful, the dogs are a hoot (and I'm not much of a dog person but these dogs are great), Azaima is a lovely host. The location is perfect for exploring all the things around Silver City, such as the Gila Cliff Dwellings and Fort Bayard.

Nice valley view on a quiet street. The cabin had everything I needed. Lots of lights inside and out. The "great room" and bedroom wall heaters kept the place very warm when desired.

Founded as a mining town, today the main attraction is its proximity to the Gila National Forest, the Gila Cliff Dwellings Natinal Monument and the Whitewater Canyon Recreation Area and its Catwalk accessible trail. Hiking the Gila Mountains is the major other attraction, but there are a number of historic sites in the surrounding area, too. The town of ~9,000 is principally a college town with some historic sites and areas. It's worth a stop if you're touring the Southwest, but isn't a destination vacation spot in itself. Recommended Restaurants: Q's Southern Bistro, the Buckhorn, Little Toad Brewery & Distillery.

We live about 2 1/2 hrs from Silver City, so go there several times a year. Usually a day trip, this was the first weekend stay. Shops to wander through, The Hub has some nice little places (The Mint Ice Cream shop), Adobe Springs has good food but a long wait. Good walking around place, museums to visit, home of Western NM U, lots of murals on buildings. Worth the visit for sure.

Silver City has a lo of history attached to the city.
Silver City has a lo of history attached to the city. Since the mines closed down, the city came upon hard times. The architecture in the city has been left untouched which makes it ideal to see what Victorian cities looked like back in the 1880's.

It has a larger "historic area" than many places and it looked quite interesting, but we curtailed our look-arround because it poured with rain. The Little Road Creek Brewery in the old area was good for dinner.

Pinos Altos Buckhorn steak house is just outside the city and has some of the best food and quick friendly service. This was and is a mining area for copper and silver ore. We liked the cool old historic buildings, which had historical markers talking about local history. Great offering of art and craft items plus antiques in the local area. The old native Indian cliff dwellings and old metal catwalk along a river should be on visitors list of must-see adventures. Good hiking trails. The Silver city community has painted many beautiful murals on buildings.

We came specifically for the downtown art galleries and shops. That being said - we arrived about 5pm on Thursday and most were already closed. Saw OPEN signs starting about 9am. Went to breakfast at the only place we found open at 9am Friday and still found no shops or galleries open on Bullard by 10am. Made our way to the Silver City Museum, interesting and historical. Still nothing open and out of time, we left town disappointed. The bright spot in this trip was the Little Toad Creek Brewery and Distillery. The Brews were great the food was tasty the vibe was casual and fun.
Nicely decorated room. I booked this hotel because it advertised free wireless high-speed Internet access. At first we were placed in room 110, but there was no internet access. Then, they moved us to 104. The bed was comfortable, The room was clean. The internet was useless. The location is nice if you are going to be at the Gila National Park when it opens in the morning. Did I mention how bad the internet was? There is plenty of parking and many nearby restaurants. Worthless internet.
The room was large, comfortable and quiet. There is a coffee maker with more than a single cup, which was awesome, and I was able to get my own coffee and creamer and we had own coffee for our entire stay so, I was stoked! My favorite part was the bed it was so comfortable and huge. I usually have a hard time sleeping at hotels and the bed was so comfortable that I slept like a rock!
Location. Mattress. Layout. Clever redecoration of an old house. Great kitchen. Next to a very interesting coffee shop with a interesting collection of friendly old timers with whom we fit right in. There was even an middle aged couple in the corner reliving their days as teenage lovers. If you want to see Silver City and you should, this is a excellent home base.
This was by far better than any other pet friendly place we have stayed in with the animals. I think that $150 for a weekend night is excessive but I am from a different time and now realize that the accommodations (the bed and shower) are better quality than I sleep on at home.
Thank you for a wonderful stay and will come back in the future to stay again.
The place is retro chic, especially the street sign. For the price it was better than expected. Staff was great. Very friendly. My king bed was quite comfortable, the room very clean, and the AC quiet and effective. The location was great for sending us off on our 3 day backpacking trip in Gila National Forest. Silver City is kind of cool.
We felt very welcomed by Robert at the front desk. The hotel was well located in the historic downtown area. Room was vey clean. Unfortunately, we arrived on a Sunday afternoon and the downtown area was like a ghost town. Nothing open.
We travel to Silver City yearly for a gem and mineral show and have stayed at the Copper Manor for at least five years. They have upgraded their rooms which look really nice and show pride of ownership. We appreciated it greatly.
I really liked the old decor of the hotel, room was nice and bed comfortable. Excellent location! Robert was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was better than I expected. Would definitely stay again!
The hotel is bang in the middle of town with most things within walking distance. The hotel has character, friendly, talkative staff and is clean. The rooms are adequate for the price.
Absolutely lovely, quiet place. The view -- from the balcony to the windows on all sides, it was stunning. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Silver City!
Enjoyed the decor of the hotel. It is like walking back into a 1950s. It’s a very elegant hotel with a 50’s vibe yet tastefully optioned with modern amenities.
