Hmmm, admittedly a brief stay, at night, so can't say I saw anything worth mentioning. Saturday night, found 1 restaurant still open at 9:30 pm--turned out to be a loud honky tonk--that's fine, but not when with the family. Went to the market instead and we all had snacks for dinner.
I just needed an overnight stop on my way farther south in Texas. This hotel is not fancy, by any stretch, but is very clean and comfortable. My room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable, although the room was very spartan in its furnishings. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was right on my route -- perfect for a one-night, one-person stop. Would stay here again if back in the area.
Marshall is just one big highway. The hotel was south of town, but not too far from the college where I attended graduation events.
The hotel seemed old, but it was in decent condition. The bathroom fixtures weren't great, but it was clean. Overall, it was comfortable and worth the money.
The hotel provided a convenient location for touring Marshall and Jefferson by car. The bed linens and towels were fresh and clean. The free breakfast was very nice, including eggs, waffles, toast, cereals, ect. We found the room to be very quite at night. Overall, a comfortable stay.
The room was way below standard but we kept finding roaches and when packing to leave I pulled the blankets up and they were in-between the blanket and coverlet which I couldn't believe we slept with them ewww!!! Hardly any breakfast choices, just awful. Won't choose days in again!
Don't be fooled by the grey exterior of the hotel! The interior is much better, updated, and clean. Lobby is spacious and there is an Irish bar and restaurant with great food and live music. The swimming pool was closed for the season but looks very inviting!
Breakfast was woefully inadequate for the price. Lacked coffee rolls, cereal choice limited, and nouthing extraordinary, considering I was paying 30 dollars more than the Days Inn down the street.
The staff switched out the feather pillows…we are allergic th feathers!
Breakfast was good. Best coffee that I’ve had in my extensive travels in the states.
