I like the location. The staff were very attentive and the rooms were clean.
We came to Macon for the cherry blossom festival. My wife had wanted to attend for a long time. It was her birthday so we decided to celebrate with the festival. Well we were very disappointed. The work up the site listed did no way match what was given. The festival was a carnival or fair at best. Over priced vendors “20$ for a 12 oz drink and bag of cotton candy “. The entertainment was good but didn’t last long. The parade was very disappointing. Floats consisted of people pulling wagons with people in them. I would not recommend going to this. I know we will not return.

Price was really great for a one night stop over on the way to Florida and if coming from Michigan it is 2/3rds of the way so reachable before dark. Everything you need and nothing you do not but do not try to find it without a GPS directing you as it is really back off the main path.

Just an overnight stay on the way north.
Just an overnight stay on the way north. Staff was wonderful and helpful. It is under renovation, but there was no noise of inconvenience because of that. They still have a couple of kinks to work out, but a beautiful place to stay. Very quiet and comfortable. There were no instructions on how to get the tv to work, but the housekeeping lady was in the hall and she gave wonderful instructions and was very nice. Would definitely stay there again!

Macon is not a good city.
Macon is not a good city. The hotel staffs are mostly rude and disrespectful. There is nothing to do. The restaurant’s are mediocre and dirty. Construction everywhere. Most definitely will not go back there. This city has nothing to offer.

Short, overnight trip to Macon in order to visit The Allman...
Short, overnight trip to Macon in order to visit The Allman Brothers Band Museum ("The Big House") and the H&H Soul Food Cafe (significance to the early days of the band and beyond). Both were excellent and I highly recommend! Quick side visit to the Macon Mall and it was disappointing, very few open stores.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The grounds were wonderful, the mansion was very clean with tons of interesting décor. The Manager Paul Griffin was the most fabulous of hosts. He was warm, welcoming, engaging and just pleasant to converse with. If you are in Macon take the time to stay there you will be greeted with a smile and served with the best hospitality. Also the rooms are very comfortable. I am a bit of a mattress snob, I was not disappointed at all. I will definitely be going back very soon to stay there!
The hotel is conveniently located just off I-75. The room was exceptionally large with a small sectional and a king bed with a comfortable foam mattress. The bathroom had new(er) attractive brushed steel sink and shower fixtures and a quiet toilet. The hotel is undergoing obvious renovation and our room was most likely recently finished. Although we didn't use it, the fitness room was larger & better-equipped than most we've seen. It was a very good value!
terrible, i arrived to the hotel and arrived at 5 am because i was driving from miami. and the lady told me that she can’t give me my room because the system said "no show" but charge full room rate.
tell me when tell me where booking mentions that if you don't arrive at 5 pm they charge you the total and you can't sleep ????? I can arrive at the time I want and they charge me the full night. that happens in all hotels. they are thieves and abusive
the most disgusting hotel in my life! cockroaches everywhere, dirty pillowcases, torn sheets. We slept in clothes. The room smelled of cigarettes, only one night light worked. The room is very dirty and disgusting to be in. They went into the bath once, killed cockroaches, but at night there were 10 times more of them. If you do not want to wake up at night and examine the bed in search of cockroaches, then I do not recommend this hotel
What a delightful historical spot in Macon. We were en route from Florida to New England and decided to spend 2 nights at this lovely property. The staff was helpful and gracious. The cocktail hour was a treat. We enjoyed our drinks on the inviting front porch. Breakfasts were just exceptional and a great start to the day. We enjoyed some sightseeing around town and some excellent dining.
This was a terrific value. We were able to get 2 rooms for the price of what one room would cost elsewhere. That was great considering we are traveling with older children. We were able to spread out and have space. The hotel is pet friendly!! Breakfast was great as well. The lady running it worked hard and did a great job. She was really nice - wonderful start to our day!!
Wingate Hotel was the best place I stayed at in Georgia! Big Facts!!!! You were a big blessing in disguise after La Quinta cancelled my reservation for no reason. I'll always stay at a Wingate now! The manager I spoke to was a gem!! I'M Just grateful! Thanks for the Dove products too!! I'm a happy camper!
Boutique vibe, friendly staff, valet parking, beautiful decor, clean rooms, secured access. This is the only hotel I will be staying in during future visits to Macon.
