It was a pleasant surprise to find this gem on a quick trip upstate. The entire facility is beautifully appointed in what appears to be original decor from the ornate wallpaper to the many antique paintings. For a historical building, the room was spacious, and the bed was comparable to my Sleep Number! Well done! Bonus - great bar and restaurant on site and yummy pastries for breakfast.

Wonderful quiet hotel with a friendly owner. We stayed in the queen room with a kitchen which was perfect for our needs. Oversized recliner in the room which was great for reading or watching TV. Close to lots of hiking trails.

Cute town.
Cute town. Close to Delaware River activities such as renting from Lander's River Trips. The Italian restaurant in town was very good. Restaurant choice was extremely limited on Monday. The town itself is pleasant, inexpensive. We are at the 1812 bar at the hotel owned by the same group that owns our bnb. It was a very comfortable, attractive old bar with large windows and good street views.

Honesdale has always been a wonderful little town to live...
Honesdale has always been a wonderful little town to live and visit. I have spent alot of time here and lived for a while. They have not kept up with the grass growing in front of stores and town recently. I have stayed in the Wayne Inn a few times before and it was an okay place to stay. But this time it was awful. Much better brews to drink.), quaint breakfast places, antiques, Fireman Museum, Stoubridge Train line excursions, Irving Cliff, Stoubridge Museum. We came for the 190th Anniversary of the Stourbridge Lion...
We came for the 190th Anniversary of the Stourbridge Lion run. inside the Wayne County Historical Society bldg. the history of the locomotive and of the area was well presented and even a video presentation which was awesome. When we rode on the rail excursion it was televised and my friend was on the local 6 p.m. tv. news!! We were impressed by the cleanliness of the town and the beautiful floral plantings throughout.
