Amber Lantern Motel, hotel in Bolton Landing

Featuring free Wi-Fi and a seasonal outdoor pool, this Lake George motel offers rooms with a TV. The Lake George town center is just 5 minutes’ drive away.

This place is old-school Adirondack charm! It's not a fancy-schmancy top-of-the-line elegant showplace, so if that's what you need, please look elsewhere. If, however, you'd like to stay at a charming little retreat beautifully set among the trees, the Amber Lantern should make you happy. My small private cabin was perfect for one person, and I really appreciated my convenient dedicated parking spot. While I didn't use it, there's even a cute little front porch situated so you can sit and enjoy the North Country ambiance. The bed was comfy, the water pressure was great, the A/C, WIFI and TV all worked well, and the little refrigerator was handy. The cabin was also spotless, the grounds were well-kept and attractive, and the price was definitely right! I'd happily stay there again and would recommend it highly to all.

Hampton Inn & Suites Lake George, hotel in Bolton Landing

Just minutes from the scenic Lake George, this New York hotel offers enjoyable amenities for the contemporary traveler as well as easy access to a range of recreational activities.

Location is wonderful. This place is under construction and you walk in to the lobby totally gutted. No pool or hot tub as they are being updated. Dusty, dirty first impression. The room was clean and nice.they tried to make it work but it really wasn't ok. Free breakfast was in a room with all of the tables so close you could hardly move. The carpets were full of sheet rock dust being tracked in. Normally love this place!

This resort is listed as "pet friendly" but only has two rooms. While this listing will come up as "pet friendly" when you do a search, don't assume that you will get one of the two available "pet friendly" rooms. I have used this search filter before and not had this problem. Why even bother to have two "pet-friendly" rooms at all? The resort is on a steep hill and there's not a lot of space. To make matters worse, the resort rents out a fleet of pontoon boats and there are large groups coming and going on a regular basis. It seemed to me that the manager and staff were not very focused on the motel operation as they were spending all of their time on boat bookings and customer service for the pontoon renters. I had to cancel my reservation as I couldn't get one of the "pet friendly" rooms so I lost one-night's fee and had a very negative exchange with the manager, who has terrible customer service skills. I absolutely don't recommend this resort.
