I don't normally write reviews, as I myself don't read a lot of them. However, staying at Villa the Spot was this one-time instance where I feel I need to share my stay.
I'll start with the positive:
1) The facility itself is amazing! Both pools, views from the hotel and the surrounding area is a must for those who seek quiet and escapism
2) The room is quite large with an amazing view. We opted for a room on the second floor, which in turn has a great view of the property and the sea. We really enjoyed the amenities the room has to offer and overall we were very pleased with the room we received
3) The room was being cleaned everyday and it was a real pleasure to come back after a long day to a nice and tidy room. They sure put on an effort on being clean, which is really important to us
Located just 984 feet from Chaweng Noi Beach, Baan Sawan Samui Resort offers a large swimming pool and a garden.

A beautiful little boutique resort up on the hill, outside of the busy area. The pools were clean, enough chairs for everyone. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony view, which was much nicer than the dark bungalows. It is not often that hotel rooms are nicer than bungalows, but here that is the case. The 3 dogs are sweet!
Standing on the green hills of Chaweng Noi, Samui Bayview Resort & Spa - SHA Plus offers guests breathtaking views of the sea and a peaceful location close to the busy city center of Chaweng.

The staff was outstanding. The facility was excellent.
The Jungle Club - SHA Extra Plus is located on the hill and in the jungle with a very nice view of Chaweng Beach. A relaxing massage can be enjoyed. The resort is a 30-minute ride from Samui Airport.

The hotel was amazing.
One of the best hotels we had ever stayed in.
The pool and the beach are beautiful.
And the best thing is the crew, they are 10 out of 10. Took care for every little things that we needed. Especially Tik and Pei Pei. Definitely will come back

I wouldn't go back.
I was so disappointed by Koh Samui, I thought it was a nice place to go but aside from beautiful beaches and the views from the mountains, its really rough and run down.
Chaweng itself is like Magaluf. The strip is awful. But if you like that then you'd probably like it but not being a drinker or a partier I really hated it.
We did however eat at some really great restaurants all over Koh Samui

It is beautiful, wonderful, crystal clear, turquoise water. Do NOT let the reviews that say that this beach is "busy, loud, too crowded" deter you from coming. We were here in January-February during peak season and it was perfect! Never too crowded and never too empty. Perfect in my experience, I would come back. I did not prefer nor enjoy Lamai beach (supposed to be better, but I disagree).

Pretty big town for Samui.
Pretty big town for Samui. Lots to see, especially inland a bit where the market is, and the grittier streets. The area by the beach is all gated resorts and a bit bland/international. However, there's a real Thai town in Chaweng if you look beyond the resorts, and it's far more interesting.

Excellent location for the price, easy access to town and several attractions. We took a Song Taew to Wat Plailam for 150 Baht and walked to Big Bhuda Temple. Then took a taxi 200 baht to Fisherman Village. We had dinner at the Coco Tams Restaurant, it is little pricy but the atmosphere was fabulous, watched the Fire Show on the beach beside the restaurant.
Staffs at the Chaweng Noi Pool and Villa were very helpful and courteous.

Beautiful beach which is quieter and more relaxing than the main Chaweng beach. For relaxation and enjoying a leisurely dip in the sea and a snorkel, Chaweng Noi hits the spot, with crystal clear water and spotting an array of tropical marine fish and crabs.
There is not much in terms of choices of restaurants or bars therefore it is better to go into Chaweng or Lamai for more choice for food and drink - this is easily done by using NaviGo or hailing a taxi/hop on hop off red truck from the main road. There is a nice bistro bar which does good happy hour drinks but the mains were pretty mediocre, though the prices were pretty good - the chicken satay there is delicious!

This hotel should be a 5-star hotel!
This hotel should be a 5-star hotel! Everything was perfect: big room, amazing pool and great view (just in front of the sea), very good breakfast and the staff was very nice and friendly. I would recommend this hotel at 100%.

Really lovely staff.
Decent breakfast.
We stayed in a private pool villa which had stunning views and really spacious with a separate lounge area and main living space with bedroom and big bathroom with a huge bath tub.
Beautiful beach a few steps away.
Really great area away from the busy chaweng but close enough to get there easily on a moped or by taxi at night.
Sunset was incredible. Sat on the sunbed by my private pool and watched the sun come up over the ocean, then climbed back into bed. Heavenly.
Having owned International Travel companies, we have become naturally picky as we have stayed in thousands of properties. This property out did every expectation from the biggest to the smallest. Most of their staff have worked there for many years, meaning great management and awesome service.
We had the private pool villa and frankly it was the best vacation we have ever had. Look no further for a resort on Samui!
Looking at previous reviews I think this place is underrated. The villa I was in was spacious and quite, with an amazing view. Chaweng beach is just a few minutes away by motorbike, which can be easily rented next door. The restaurant may not be cheap by Thai standard but I think it’s fair by Samui standards, I couldn’t eat cheaper in a any decent restaurants around that area.
This is a very nice resort, excellent & friendly staff who are very welcoming and they really seem to like to work there (good atmosphere).
Great location with a beautiful beach (white sand, clear water and easy slope) at 5 min walking.
Extra bonus is the wonderfull and very populair Mekong restaurant that is situated in the resort. Excellent diverse menu.
Amazing villa atop a mountain in Koh Samui. phenomenal view with two pools, taxi service, and food service (Fred and his wife can taxi and prepare food upon request but at their availability). We stayed in unit B8, which we argue is the best villa because it has a pool, mountain and ocean view, and it’s on the 2nd level so you have privacy.
The staff is so friendly and attentive. As a family we liked to have a private villa pool, so when the kids are exhausted you don't need to go to beach. We also liked that the hotel provides free shuttle service to Center and to the beach even with pickup from beach back to hotel, which is awesome.
Good location at chaweng Beach
The room doesn't have an elevator, but stairs are designed not steep, and also, you can ask for help from the staff
Staff are very smiley and friendly, also offer help all the time
Beach is very close with fine sand
Breakfast has some changes , with some local taste
Very nice view of the sea but no beach. Facilities are okay but you can tell it's been a while since renovation has happened. The staff is lovely but the facilities are a bit downgraded. It's an isolated place and you need to use a motorbike or taxi to get to the more busy streets.
Nice location at the end of the beach.
Bike hire, seven eleven, a couple of bars, restaurants, pharmacy at the entrance of hotel.
Breakfast was good. Staff friendly.
Room spacious and bed was comfortable.
Pool was nice.
Super friendly staff and clean rooms. The breakfast was ok. The common area could be more clean (swimming pool). Little bit far from the centre but there is a shuttle bus to the lamai beach (you have to book in advance)
The Hotel is really near one beach, and you can find some restaurants near. The price it´s good. In the first floor of the hotel you can find a cafe where you can have breakfast. The hotel it´s old, but it was clean.
Great location, private beach. It's not in the middle of the partying so it's more quiet and relaxed. Beds are comfortable, but not as hard as i've seen around Thailand. The garden is amazing and breakfast as well.
It's a beautiful resort directly at a private beach. Everyone is super friendly and always there if you need help with anything. Food was good and the reef at the beach was wonderful for snorkeling.
The service was excellent in all areas.
Beautiful established gardens
The setup on the beach with the pool, kids play area, bar, restaurant etc was perfect for all types of guests.
