Clean, cosy room. Excellent location and beautiful domain. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was extensive and delicious. We had a great time, one of our top stays in Madeira. Highly recommend it to everyone!

Wonderful place close to the village of Santana. It includes 3 different buildings, one of which is the restaurant. There is also a living room with tv, books and board games heated up by a fireplace. It was raining when we arrived and appreciated the possibility of spending some time there.
We loved the terrace with the warm jacuzzi and fresh water pool that can be used at any time. Views from there are amazing!
Food at the restaurant is good and fairly priced, although there were not many options for dinner. Breakfast was varied with different salty and sweet options and we could get coffee from the espresso machine.

We were here for 3 nights, we arranged check-in and check-out ourselves to our full satisfaction, upon arrival you just fill out the form and send a photo of it. The apartment is fully equipped, including a washing machine, microwave oven, kettle, toaster and kitchen utensils. The location is ideal for trips to Santana and nearby levadas. Parking is directly in front of the house. Wifi without problems :) Thank you

The hotel is very pleasant.
The hotel is very pleasant. It is good to be together with nature and with beautiful views over the sea and mountains. However, check-in took a long time, we waited 1 hour and a half for them to prepare the room, and when we got to the room, there were no pool towels, we had to ask at reception. Another situation that I didn't like was the booking of the wine tasting and visit to wine house. We were refused the wine tasting because we had already checked out at 12:00h. So we asked if we could do it before check out and they said yes, but we got there and nobody showed up.

Don't stay in Santana longer than 4 days and make sure you have a rental car to get to all the levadas easily. The restaurants/cafes in Santana are not that good/nice. The only tourist attraction in Santana are the famous Santana houses and the nearby hiking area Queimadas.

We made the mistake of not hiring a car before we got to the hotel. We figured we would see what Santana was like and then hire a car locally, this was a big mistake! Once we got to our hotel, it was clear that we would need a car to get around as nothing is close or easy to get to. We're super active people but local hikes are 30 mins just to get to. We were told it would be £630 to hire a car for 5 days. Our advice would be to hire a car ahead of your trip.
Santana is beautiful and has such a variety of things to do and see. Other advice would be to not judge a book by its cover when it comes to restaurants, we ate the best stake in a tiny little restaurant that looked pretty grim from outside.
You probably wont want to spend all your time in Santana but its a great base.

It is a lovely, peaceful and relaxing place.
I wanted time to chill, and Santana did that.
Lovely scenery.
Eat at the Serra e Mar
Don't bother with the tourists traditional houses, there are plenty of genuine ones in the town, some very rustic

We love Santana in the winter.
We love Santana in the winter. The tourists are all in Funchal, so you have the place for yourself.
Santana is ideally placed for the best hikes in Madeira: Pico Ruivo (at least 3 different hikes start here, all top-class), Queimadas with its amazing hikes and others. Also a short drive to the airport.
There are some great restaurants in Santana and the adjoining villages and all the services you may need.
The apartment was perfect for my family 2 adults and 2 kids. We had everything we needed. The location is easy to find and the communication with the host was perfect.
Having the opportunity for self check-in was very important as we arrived late in the evening.
The supermarket is in the way to the apartment in Santana.
Car rental is needed and parking place is available.
It is situated in the middle of nature.
From the location we drove between 30 min-1h:30 min to the important places of the island.
the hotel is in an amazing location, in the middle of vineyards, ocean view and a beautiful flower garden, near the town of Santana.
The hotel has a lot of rules that can be a bit annoying. It is necessary to choose breakfast period for tomorrow, it is necessary to make an order for dinner in their restaurant, as well as for pizza.
Everything is kind of quite conservative, so we didn't feel free.
The staff is otherwise very polite.
Hotel very clean.
The ambience is exceptional.

The room was clean. The hotel itself is nice. Owner was very helpful and friendly, adviced, what to visit nearby and where to eat. The room size was very small, but it was not a problem for us. Every morning we were awakened by the crowing of cocks in Santana, which was so nice to me! :D
Well placed base for hiking and in general well placed logistically. Great snack bar close to the hotel - Adega do Compadre!
we really liked the Casas de Campo. The staff were great. The breakfast was quite good and included items baked by the owner. The bed was comfy and the living area good. Santana afternoons and evenings can be cooler when the clouds come in but the heating took the edge off quickly. The kitchen was simple but adequate for meal preparation.
The hotel had a really good location just outside of main Santana. From the top of the hill where the hotel is we could see the entire coast and the hiking routes were accessible after a short car ride. There was also a bus stop just outside the property as well as a good restaurant.
Nice place. Friendly personal and great location. Price quality it was fine. Nothing fancy and we didn’t expect a 5star hotel for this price. Party due to the weather and the slightly outdated rooms the building felt damp and moist. But everything was clean and well organized.
The hotel is ideally located in the town centre of Santana, walking distance to the typical houses. it has a private parking, which is very convenient. The room we stayed was huge and had a nice terrace with a wonderful view. Very good price for the quality of the hotel.
Everything about the suite was fantastic. Wish every hotel was this well thought out and functional. Great view, great shower, great kitchenette, great cat. Thank you for having the heat on, nights were still chilly, and not everyplace in Madeira did!
Everything was perfect, Manuel and Fatima were very welcoming ! The place was greatly located in Santana and very comfy with a fully equipped accommodation.
Definitely one of the best spots to stay and discover the northern side of my the island !
Hotel is located on the nature, beautiful and calm place with an amazing view on mountain or ocean. Both breathtaking . Big rooms. Lovely swimming pool and jacuzzi on the roof. Everything was like on the photos. Property met my expectations.
Beautiful grounds (even in February) with some trees and plant flowering and lots of greenery. Beautiful building with lots of character. Rooms were clean and we'll made up. Neat that they have a traditional Santana house on the property.
The house is very spacious, the interior is rustic but charming and the garden is beautiful. It's a great starting place for levada walks, going to santana, or for driving up to pico ruvio. 4+ people can easily stay there.
The location and view is incredible and the breakfast was the best we had on the island. Very comfy and clean. Despite the small negatives, this is the best hotel we stayed at in Madeira.
