Clean, cosy room. Excellent location and beautiful domain. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was extensive and delicious. We had a great time, one of our top stays in Madeira. Highly recommend it to everyone!

The rooms were a nice size and the beds were comfortable. There was a lift to save you from having to take bags on the stairs. The hotel was quiet enough and the roar of the waves loud as it was directly across the from the ocean which I enjoyed .The staff were friendly and thoughtful. The restaurant was good serving breakfast and then in the evening they had dinner. The hot tub was large but only really hot two of the four nights. The hotel was very clean and had many spots to sit and relax outside of the room. There was also a bar up a bunch of stairs that had a Birds Eye view.

Casa de Proteas is a lovely place to stay. Theresa was such a brilliant hostess, she made it feel like home.Breakfast was just right to set you up for the day. We absolutely loved our stay here. The gardens are beautifully planted and the views are stunning. The tipi and communal areas were very clean and comfortable, offering everything we needed to prepare packed lunches for our hikes. Nice little place. I couldn't decide if it was a small hotel or a big BnB but it worked. The view was very nice. We could see all the stars at night from our balcony. Breakfast was pretty good.
