Loved the location, ammennites, comfortable bed and amazing service. The little book with coupons was a lovely touch and helped me decide where to go for dinner. And I loved walking literally 10m to get my coffee and crumpet for breakie!

The city and the suburbs offer a great view of Mt Taranaki in all its glory.
The coastal walk is truly beautiful and a must do. The gardens are known to be beautiful and unfortunately we couldn’t fit it in to our short stay. Rewa Rewa bridge was beautiful and the views of the Mountain were spectacular from the bridge.
The state highway 3 and the journey to New Plymouth is also breathtaking.

I've never been there before, it was a nice place to visit, would liked to have stayed longer. A good number of bars and restaurants to eat at all with walking distance and the weather was lovely.

We loved the location of the Millimium being waterfront and so handy to great cafes shops boutique breweries amd galleries which all we tried were found to be exceptional. Plus we loved the direct access to the board walk to the port past an impressive swimming pool complex then later walked along the pathway in the other direction the Fitzroy beach which had a cafe and outdoor setting on the beach. The whole city seemed safe and attractive and a great place to visit and probably a great place to live.

Good sized room and ensuite.
Good sized room and ensuite. All absolutely spotless and very comfortable. Useful facilities.
Nicely positioned off the main road so nice and quiet but close enough to walk to shops and restaurants. Not too far to coast with beaches and coastal path. Friendly and helpful owner with a good knowledge of area and enthusiasm when recommending things to see and do.
Modern, spacious common areas with quirky art works. We had a great apartment which had been recently renovated & it was by far the best room we’ve had in our 2 week travels of NZN. The staff were welcoming & friendly, especially the lovely guy on reception. Good laundry facilities too. The restaurant was excellent for both dinner & breakfast. Didn’t have high expectations about New Plymouth but was pleasantly surprised, it’s a beautiful city & well worth a stopover on the west coast.
Good location, walking distance to the centre of New Plymouth. Nice to find a relatively inexpensive room/suite/converted flat that could accommodate 5 adults in reasonable comfort. Dilmah tea, sugar, biscuits, and one decent coffee bag topped up daily. Decent beds and towels for this price range. A good amount of space and a good-sized dining table for a family room.
The property is situated at the heart of the town and can access the key places easily.
The pool was clean and warm, especially the spa pool. The heated pool was one of the reasons we booked tbe hotel and the pool is always where my kids spend most time while on holiday.
The morning buffet was average taste wise but had a selection of hot as well as traditional spread.
This is a 5 star B&B, if you are in New Plymouth for a couple nights, do yourself a favor and stay here. The host was absolutely lovely, had the fire going for us when we showed up. Breakfast is perfect for a light meal before you head out, the building has an amazing view of the mountain if you get lucky with the weather. Felt like our own little flat.
I got to the payment stage and did NOT receive the 6 digit number to complete. I therefore came out of the request and booked another hotel. I went into Millenium at New Plymouth and was told nothing could be done until Tuesday when the managers could authorise a refund. Today, 17th, I have not received any contact or refund.
Beautiful room. Parking right in front of room. Easy access to motel from the road but quiet in room. Hostess Kelliann was delightful. So kind and friendly. Allowed me to use the motel laundry room late in the evening (also kept hotel guest in room next to the guest laundry room from being bothered by noise of machines).
Ducks and Drakes is a great option for accommodation in New Plymouth. Location is approx 2 blocks from the main CBD area so a very easy walk and then down onto the waterfront. Brett was a wonderful host and so were Zulu and Aroha! Would recommend to anyone travelling through New Plymouth, will stay again.
This must be the cleanest motel we have stayed in. It was spotless, the shower sparkled.
We really appreciated the air con as New Plymouth was very hot overnight. Comfy beds and I liked the wood panelling. We watched Netflix on the TV using the Motels account
(not ours).
The location is excellent for the CBD. The room was very nice, clean and a good size and the bed very comfortable. Friendly helpful staff. Spa bath as well which was great. Highly recommend this Motel if wanting to stay in central New Plymouth for location and comfort.
Very clean, great location, great facilities. Beds are perfect to our liking. The owner is very friendly. Perfect for family. 2 toilets are bonus points ! Will definitely keep this on our place to stay in New Plymouth. Overall, very happy to find this place.
Very conveniently located to New Plymouth. The rooms were spacious alowing family to come and visit and enjoy a brew. Easy to access and ease of use of facilities for my elderly parents.
This place is so cute and homely! The staff are so friendly and the whole hostel has such a cool personality. Right in the center and close to everything you want to see in New Plymouth
Always like staying here. The host is great and remembers you from previous visits. Convenient to get in and out of New Plymouth and close enough to town.
