Great place to stay in Kinosaki. The hostel was spotlessly clean, with very new facilities. The staff was also really friendly and helpful. Location is a in a more quiet area away from the center. Overall highly recommended!

The staff were very attentive and helpful and the decor in hotel was modern and comfortable. I liked the free coffee machine in the shared space and the washing facilities were useful. There is a nice walk up to the crater of Mount Kannabe just behind the hotel.

We liked that this property had very clean and quiet facilities. It was a great traditional experience with a friendly staff member and everything needed. We liked that their was parking available for an additional 800 yen. Some places out in town were more expensive. There was a Lawson across the
street which was convenient. The room was comfortable and it was nice having towels to use at the Onsen.

Dinner and breakfast were really amazing- a true highlight of our Japan trip! All the staff were so kind and thoughtful, I really appreciated all the photos they offered to take for us. The onsens were small but great to have on site, I appreciated that we could use them privately in the evening.

The town is really cute with lots of great shops and the onsen at the hotel was super relaxing. There were a lot of children at the public onsen so we decided to skip most of them and felt the one night we stayed was enough

Kinosaki Onsen is such a charming town.
Kinosaki Onsen is such a charming town. After spending a week running around cities like Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, it was nice to unwind in a small town that was very self-contained but also had some nice outdoor activities like exploring Mt. Daishi, in addition to the 7 public baths.

If you love onsens and seafood, this is the perfect place to go unwind and dine. Kinosaki Onsen is a small, photogenic town that feels more like a neighborhood. There are many kinds of restaurants, but especially crab seems to be the hit here, with shops that sell them right out on the street.
Tip: a few websites offer real-time percentages of how busy any onsen in the area is.

we stayed at Yamamotoya Ryokan, Kinosaki Onsen for one night which was too short.
overall Kinosaki Onsen is a gem of a village. It is picture perfect and with lots of "protected" traditional Japanese wooden frame homes.
You travel back in time ! old houses, people on yukatas and clogs, a small stream passes thru the middle of town with willow trees. few vehicles and few locals on roads, a typical tourist village.
The best time to enjoy the atmosphere and ambience - dusk. Esp with the street lights and lights from the roadside buildings
My Ryokan is fantatstic - we visited during shoulder season and prices were great. Will come again in autumm 2024. there are extra costs to be paid for public onsen but well worth.
Tried 4 public onsen which was awesome - cave onsen, outdoor onsen facing a mountain stream, outdoor onsen. The morning public bath was less busy with few users while the evening baths was very busy, My choice of onsen was Gohsonronyu, outdoor facing a trees and mountain stream and the cave onsen. kinosaki is technically an ONSEN village.
we dropped our luggage to be delivered to hotel opposite the train station. went exploring the village and used the cable car to offer prayers to the village onsen guardian. everywhere is within walking distance

Kinosaki is a wonderful place to be in.
Kinosaki is a wonderful place to be in. However, it can get a bit touristy during some months. We went in September which is considered the low season, yet we felt that there were too many people around. However =, it is still the best onsen town in the Kansai region.
The ryokan is in the center of the city
The room was big and cosy.
But most important was the owner, so welcoming, organizing a tea ceremony with is mom, driving you to the station, always there to help.
The kimono that you can use are also beautiful.
The bath in the hotel are great and I add a delicious traditional breakfast.
I loved every moment there.
The hotel was very well situated in the town. It had beautiful views of the central river and a beautiful Japanese garden at the back of the property. The decor is contemporary Japanese minimalism, with careful attention to detail. Thoughtful touches of the traditional property have been preserved. The pillows and bed were extremely comfortable.
Absolutely wonderful stay! The hotel is tucked away in a quiet nature setting with charm, comfort, and beautiful atmosphere. The manager Naoko goes beyond and above to make sure you enjoy your stay. Free shuttle to downtown for easy access to all the hot springs is provided. I would prefer this hotel over the ones located in the city center.
Brilliant. The staff were very kind and welcoming, and were very accommodating of our inability to speak Japanese. We had fallen sick at a different town and the hotel manager personally took us to the doctor and helped us navigate the process. The food was incredible and the onsen was lovely. Thank you Oyado Seri!
The facilities, with only 13 rooms , are a very quiet property. The Kaiseki dinners were fantastic. The room size is much bigger than the standard Japanese room. Ayuri, was beyond awesome! She conversed very well and her service is 5 star. She made my stay at Sensui the best hotel experience ever!
Breakfast was great and the dinner was amazing. Moreover, the room view was breathtaking. The hotel is located in a quiet coastal town that reall has an mazing charm, with amazing activities to partake in and a friendly staff! We will come back one day!
Amazing hotel, staff were so kind and helpful and fun. Older hotel but just so tasteful and grand. Great location, incredible Japanese breakfast. We stayed in a Japanese style room and were so happy we did - heaps of room, great experience.
I had a pleasant stay, in this location that met all my conditions and requirements. The friendly staff, attentive to my needs, managing to adapt and excellently coordinate the client-hotel relationship. I highly recommend this location.
Just a few blocks away from the Toyooka station. Very friendly staff, they have helped us with luggage as we have arrived early and departed after checking out.
The hotel is not new, but everything is neat, very clean.
Wi-Fi worked fine.
Beautiful room. Cozy onsen that opens early and stays open late. Breakfast and Dinner were amazing and so delicious. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a traditional Ryokan experience in Kinosaki Onsen!
Beautiful simple little hotel in a good location. Lovely modern decor with a cafe and footbath on the first floor. Yukata robes and flip flops provided for visiting the onsen. Definitely recommend and would stay again.
Great location, easy walking to the picturesque river in our Yukata and clogs provided by the hotel. Drinking tea with our feet in the foot baths in the café that serves as the hotel entrance was a nice experience.
Cute rooms and great location, very attentive staff making such an effort to communicate in english. Seems like a really tiny hotel but I have a feeling we were placed in a secondary location across the road.
Centrally located in Kinosakionsen, not Toyooka. It should be noted to take the train to Kinosakionsen Station. Staff very helpful upon check-in. Free onsen passes. Book a room with a private bathroom.
A bit far from center . Especially now they are building a bridge beside hotel. So a bit difficult walk to or from centre. But hotel provides bus from 4pm everyday.
