We had originally wanted to stay at Villa Mare when we booked our trip nine months ago, but all the rooms had been booked. We found another room elsewhere, and less than a month before our trip, our stay was canceled by the owner.
Thankfully, Villa Mare had a room. We were a bit worried, but the hotel set our minds at ease. Calogero, the hotel manager reached out within minutes of booking. We needed a room with three beds, and he made it happen.
Our room was not only clean and pristine when we arrived, it was perfect every afternoon when we returned. Not to mention the room and bathroom was bigger than you would expect for a European hotel.
Breakfast was included and delicious. The views are incredible. And the location is perfect.
The real stars, however, are the staff. Calogero was great. He even reach out the day of arrival to make sure our room was the perfect temperature. Every need was attended to. The rest of the staff was in lockstep—courteous and accommodating even though most of us didn’t speak Italian.
You could not ask for more from this hotel.

How does it work?
1
It starts with a booking
It starts with a booking
The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
Followed by a trip
Followed by a trip
When guests stay at the property, they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff is, and more.

And finally, a review
And finally, a review
After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.
