The town is wonderful, it’s a workout to navigate but well worth it. For hikers there are routes available to the next towns. Lots of great restaurants although sometimes tough to get into, we were lucky enough to get into a tapas resto a few times that served great seafood. The walking tunnel from the train station into town has got to be one of a kind, amazing what they’ve done there. The vineyards, the pristine azure sea, it’s all beyond beautiful

Lovely place , somehow central to visit all the 5 villages .

Lovely place , somehow central to visit all the 5 villages . I think it is cute , price to sleep was affordable . We wish we would have stay the entire week there to avoid changing village with luggage ( thanks we travelled light ) and train which is an adventure itself . The town is nice with few places to drink or eat . Not really a town for party but you can enjoy a lovely drink at the bar and a good laugh .

Very beautiful place to visit for a couple of days.

Very beautiful place to visit for a couple of days. Be prepared for a lot of visitors, it is very busy. Not a lot of food options as it is a reasonably small town. Very hilly so be prepared to walk up steep inclines.

Travel light...big,heavy luggage will be a burden on you.

Travel light...big,heavy luggage will be a burden on you. There's a good climb to reach the apartment but when you get there it'll be like you are on top of the world. The view is stunning! The terrace on top of the building is very nice, take a bottle of wine and watch the sunset. It doesn't get much better than this.

A place to be to feel the CT atmosphere.

A place to be to feel the CT atmosphere. Easy to travel inside the village and to other places of 5 Terre. I've really appreciated the less touristic side of Manarola after the sunrise (beautiful views to live the sunrise)

It's the best of the five villages in Cinque Terre,...

It's the best of the five villages in Cinque Terre, considering the views one can get from the accommodations available close to the sea front. It is neither too big nor too small, not much to climb up and down to the sea. It has an excellent mix of terraced vegetation on one side and stacked little houses on the other side.

My daughter and I decided at the last moment to spend a couple days on the end of a trip hiking Cinque Terre. We intended to stay in Vernazza because it is centrally located. But the only accommodations we could find was this property in Manarola. Boy did we luck out. Manarola is amazing. And the Alla Porta Rossa apartment -Creme Caramel - exceeded expectations. Stunning view on all sides. Perfectly appointed. Helpful proprietor. As with all of Cinque Terre, be prepared to walk to get there. It’s not convienent, but it’s so worth it.

Roberto was fantastic! He greeted us upon arrival at the train station which instantly made us comfortable and at home. He then walked us to our accomodation and gave us a tour and tips along the way. His tips were great and really helped increase our experience in Cinque Terre. The accomodation itself has the most beautiful view that has you contemplating if you should explore outside or just spend each day in the apartment with wine, cheese and enjoying the view! Also Roberto provided delicious coffee to enjoy each day.

Room was cozy but had everything you need, including electric kettle and some food and drink (perfect for breakfast), toiletries and towels. Room is quiet in the evenings as the building is up on the far end inside Manarola so you can get a good rest. Absolutely perfect for solo travellers. And Giovanni who runs the place was very warm and helpful, giving me many tips on Manarola/Cinque Terre - like restaurant recommendations and trails to hike. Thank you! :)

I am forever grateful this property was available for my Cinque Terre adventure! The staff was the kindest and mostly helpful. I booked a sunset boat tour through them, which was probably the highlight of my trip. On our walk to my room, Loris even helped me make a reservation at a fabulous restaurant. I had coffee and toast on my balcony every morning with a beautiful view. As a solo traveler, I felt safe and had an amazing time. Thank you so much!

The host was extremely friendly. We did a hike following his advice (getting a bus to Volastra and heading to Corniglia from there) which was one of the highlights of our time in Cinque Terre. The room was very stylish and well furnished and the shower was great. The location was perfect, right on the main street of Manarola and easily accessible to everything. I would really recommend this to others.

The view is worth the trek. The view is spectacular. The place is the perfect size for two people. The host is very responsive, a good communicator and has great recommendations. The vibe of the area is great! This entire Cinque Terre area is a hikers paradise - spectacular vistas sprinkled all through the trails.

One of the best places we have stayed in all of Italy. We had a 2-bedroom apartment that was simply gorgeous. The views were incredible. Everything about the place was perfect. Had to climb a number of steps to get there but it was well worth it. My family of 4 can't wait to go back and stay longer.

Our seventh stop in Italy and THE BEST! The views are incredible, especially from our room. The apartment is awesome. We loved the decor. AC is the best we have had in Italy. We needed parking last minute and they made arrangements for us that were convenient. So glad we found this gem.

Manarola is a gorgeous little town. Accommodation had a good location and I guess no one comes to Cinque Terre unless they are up for some serious hill and stair climbing, right? The terrace would have been great except the cold kept us indoors or hiking in the rain.

It's really an amazing hotel with the kindest staff. The terrace with the amazing view and the jacuzzi that you can reserve (for free) makes the hotel a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the typical cinque Terre scene. Would 100% recommend

It is located in Manarola of Cinque Terre so you can expect some stairs. If you’re traveling light, this shouldn’t be a problem. The stay was wonderful and any time we needed anything, it was so easy to contact someone and receive assistance.

We were steps away from the water, the restaurants and cafes. There were a number of steps involved to reach the apartment, but considering Cinque Terre is located on a side of a mountain, it wasn’t that bad. The apartment was spacious.
