The staff was accommodating, they provided extra blankets and pillows and a free breakfast when we complained about the lack of heat. The room had a nice view and high ceilings. Good service.

Macerata is a little gem. Even if you come "only" for the opera festival in the Sferisterio, take your time to explore the town. There are good possibilities for shopping, enjoying local food and many places worth seeing.
We were absolutely stunned by the lavish Baroque and Rococo frescoes and wall decorations in Palazzo Buonaccorsi, which we had completely to our own on a Saturday morning. Don't miss that, it is truly unique.
Piazza delle Libertà with its Torre Civica and its astronomic clock with the carillon (at 12:00 and 18:00) is also a must see. A tour onto the tower must be a special treat, but you need to book your slot in advance, which we sadly didn't know.
Then there is Piazza Mazzini with the Sferisterio (guided tours also there), the city walls, many churches, good food and wine, not to forget the surroundings - we definitely need to come back.

Great town!
Great town! Had no idea what to expect and pleasantly surprised!
Great city center, that's a little uphill but very walkable. Lots of good restaurant and gelato choices, especially open late. Really cool museum in town that is definitely worth checking out. Great views of the Italian countryside. Friendly people all around and not a lot of tourists for a unique Italian experience.
Outstanding places to eat: Tutto Pepe, Porchetteria Centrale, Caffe Centrale, Pizzeria Bel Mondo.
We had an exceptional stay at the Palazzo Cortesi, located in the heart of the old city in Macerata, a beautiful hilltop town. Although the building was historical, the room was completely updated and so well done. It was spacious, light filled, beautiful furnishings and comfortable bed. Our room even had a small terrace on which to sit and relax with a glass of prosecco. The staff were extremely helpful, arranging a taxi for us on the morning of our departure - not an easy thing to do in that town. We loved it!
The property is located within Macerata however, it is found at the end of a steep downhill facing the valley hence surrounded by the green. There is plenty of parking space at the property. The owner is a really nice person and was fully available to make the arrival smooth. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. Air conditioning over summer is a must. There is a nice small pool in the garden of the property. Also, in the morning you can have a self service breakfast in the property kitchen.
Highly recommended

Definitely a good hotel to stay in and enjoy the atmosphere of Macerata.
Location outside of Macerata, car needed to get to places as this is outside of town location and hills are around, sea / restaurants and shops achievable by car only, super quiet and lovely place with lovely garden and view onto the medieval Macerata from the master bedroom window. The flat is insect protected with nets in each window (which is great!) and aircon helps to manage the heat super well.
Amazing stay and would highly recommend Albergo Arena! The courtyard where breakfast was served was beautiful. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to many places in Macerata but on a quiet street. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive and took the time to answer all my questions and gave great recommendations. I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Le Marche.
We did not stay at the hotel, which is closed. We were offered an apartment or a room at the hotel Arcadia nearby. We accepted the hotel room. It is very close to the city center and the Sferisterio theatre. Breakfast at the hotel was pretty good with a good selection of both got and cold salty food, croissants, jams and cakes.
The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The owner went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. They were extremely accommodating and waited also our arrival in Macerata. Walking distance to everything downtown. Eleonora was delightful and eager to help! A huge thank you! Will recommend it to my friends!
Great location, 3 minute walk from historic town, safe area, very clean apartment with everything you’ll need a your stay. Owners are very helpful and thoughtful. I walked out of a hotel with a 9/10 rating a couple hours before Chiara met me to help me get settle in. I’m so happy I left that hotel.
A lovely hotel right in the town centre, lift, a large room with a comfy bed and a view over the roofs of Macerata. Aircon, friudge, complimentary bottle of water, large bathroom, nice towels, nice toiletries. A very helpful receptionist. Top floor room as requested.
Very friendly and helpful owner. We arrived late but he waited for us and additionally the navigation on my car or google map didn't show correctly the location of the apartment (be careful!) and he found us (500m away). Very nice well maintained villa.
It was a quick check-in. Staff at the reception to restaurant and cleaners were helpful but no much friendly and welcoming. I guess this is general in Italy.
The Hotel was clean and the location was very good.
I would give a 20/10 for the property if I could . The hotel was very comfortable and comprehensive. The service was extremely good. The hotel manager Carlo was very kind and he helped us for everything.
Wonderful quiet garden setting outside Macerata with a nice view of the city.
Fabulous breakfast buffet.
Exceptional hosts, eager to make your stay the most comfortable and enjoyable.
The hosts were very sweet, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and the home itself was lovely. I would not look anywhere else if we were to return to Macerata
The hotel was near everything; the room was super comfortable and the staff was beyond excellent. I am definitely staying here every time I go to Macerata.
