The room was very cosy and balcony had lovely views of the mountains, really enjoyed my stay here, and just a pleasant two minute stroll though the village to reach the centre. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Featuring elements of the local architecture, the stone-built Archontiko Kolokotroni is located in the mountainous Stemnitsa Village, just 262 feet from its center.

This beautiful older home was a great place to stay for our visit to Stemnitsa, Greece.

We visited in late April keen to walk the Lousios Gorge between Demitsana and Stemnitsa. We booked a B&B in Stemnitsa having visited the previous day. The walk was strenuous (good footwear, sticks could be helpful, take supplies) but knowing we were staying overnight in Stemnitsa B&B meant we had plenty of time. Beautiful flowers and bird life in the gorge as well as monasteries to visit. Lucky with weather, beautiful views and good clear pathway. The signposting for the walk is good. Ask directions at the Water Mill Museum as we added an additional hour taking the wrong direction.
Stemnitsa is welcoming to visitors. Cafe on the square was really friendly helpful and served great coffee. Helped order a taxi back to Demitsana the following morning. Enjoyed an evening meal in local restaurant with helpful staff and busy atmosphere. Lovely town centre to explore and as the season progresses more shops/restaurants will open.

This is a perfect location if you are hiking the Lousios Gorge. You can start the hike from the hotel. We enjoyed just heading down the hill and right in to town to start the hike..just 5 min walk to the beginning of the trail.

The host was helpful and friendly, the accommodations are an old house in a beautiful village, and have been adapted for guests, so the place is heavy on atmosphere. But the shower stall was smallest I have ever seen, and almost unusable, the room was for a couple, but with separate single beds that could not be pushed together, and getting bags from parking to room required long steep climb up stairs and stone path. Not easy.

Stemnitsa is a beautiful mountain town, smaller and less touristy than Dimitsana. Dining within town is limited, but there are some good tavernas within driving distance. We liked how quiet it was--no tour buses, just the unique architecture and views and good access to trails.

The location of this village allows you to approach a few beautiful treks in a relatively short car drive so you can spend two or three days enjoying nature but also the village itself without much strain.
The location was perfect, just round the corner from the main square of Stemnitsa where you can sit in the morning sun and have a coffee. I spent some time researching property in Arcadia and nothing ticked all the boxes except this property. Stylishly decorated, lovely fireplace, great location, spotlessly clean, friendly and helpful contact with the owner. The village itself is the beginning of the great Menalon Trail so we had 5 perfect days of walking and evenings by the fire. I cannot recommend highly enough and we intend to return.
A perfect place to stay. A very big fully furnished room with balcony and a mountain view. Clean big bathroom. Fridge. The bed was very cozy. There is no a/c, but even in August it was nice and cool in the room. Super nice host! Really close to the village's center (though when you're coming back you'll have to climb up a bit).
There is a small street parking about 50 m from the hotel on Pelopida str. Don't try and go right up to the hotel by car, as it is very steep.
The hotel is located centrally, parking is easy from the street, the room was very spacious and nice, with a rustic touch, as the entire hotel, bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was clean and of decent size. The room has a little balcony with a breathtaking view of the whole village. Breakfast was abundant, including local pastries. The location of the hotel is perfect, as it close to Loussios Gorge, Prodromou Monastery, Karytaina Castle.
The hotel has an excellent location, looking down over Stemnitsa. It was very quiet and the host was very helpful with advice about visiting the nearby monasteries. Our initial room was small, but we were upgraded with no extra charge to a larger room with a balcony with a wonderful view of the town below. The breakfasts were excellent. It was a very pleasant short walk down to the center of the village, where there were several restaurants
Great location and the view from our room was outstanding. It's probably the nicest room we've had in a long time. Exactly what you want from a mountain break.
Hermeos is a lovely, accommodating host. Breakfast is good and filling.
Note: Google Maps will take you entirely the wrong way. Instead find "Stemnitsa Public parking no. 2" on Google Maps and have it take you there, then the guesthouse is down some steps.
Staff were so friendly and cordial
Beds very comfy, like a cloud
Little balcony on the street
Everything was squeaky clean
You can tell this property is a labour of love. The attention to detail, the way the towels are laid out, the plush pillows and the quality of bed sheets makes you feel like you're staying in a 5 star hotel.
Beautiful old, nicely restored guesthouse. We had a balcony & the view of the mountains & village was amazing. Our breakfast was delicious & included so many wonderful dishes. Our host was very helpful & friendly. We were walking distance to Stemnitsa & we loved the village!
Lovely authentic place in a great village. We liked Stemnitsa much more than Demitsana. The town has a nice townsquare with places to eat and drink. This is a 5 minute walk from the guesthouse. The owner Dimitris is very proud of his guesthouse and it shows.
A very picturesque house in stemnitsa. We got a very nice room with a large living room.
spotless, parking next to the property.
very warm welcome. We got excellent tips and information about taking a hike in the gorge .
A very beautiful, cozy and authentic hotel. Breakfast was superb, home-made local delicacies and fresh ingredients. The owners were very welcoming and offered us great advice. We wish we could have stayed longer.
A small modern boutique hotel meets traditional local stone house. Everything was perfect, the room and various small details. Also, the staff very helpful about the main hiking trail.
Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Loved how the hotel was decorated and the central location, just a short walk to the main square. Parking was plentiful, but up a hill.
I loved the hotel. It's cute and the personnel was very kind and helpful. The village is like a glimpse in time ! I definitely recommend you to stay at this charming place.
Delicious breakfast with stunning views over Stemnitsa, which is a very quiet city.
Nena is the perfect host & an excellent cook when it comes to making bread and pie.
one of the top hotel experience we had in Greece. the place looks very well maintained, clean and takes you in a real Greek feelings with wooden style rooms
