The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. Room was great and quiet and there was a small bottle of raki as a gift. We also enjoyed the breakfast. Would definitely visit again!

A family run hotel just on the outskirts of the village. We were in a newly renovated room and they had done a great job with materials colors, and fittings. The breakfast, as you will see from the previous reviews are legendary.

- The room kinda forces you to get out and enjoy the town
- Besides some dirty elements, it was generally clean
- When we got back the taverna and bar were closed, it was quiet and we had a decent sleep
- There was electricity, fridge
- The room was weird but not bad and made us laugh, taky with a charming modesty that we usually like. Had they not messed up the payment and the hot water our experience and review would have been much better
Full story:
We got to Myrthos because we found this cheap hotel room for 20 € instead of 40. I have to rate it as if it were 40, as we paid 33€ in the end, long story.
So we arrived at Paradiso/scuba diving place, entered, didn't see anyone. Outiside, sitting as the scuba diving clerk, THE town drunk tells me to look inside, again, he was so drunk that my greek was better than his. I don't mean to be disrespectful, even if he was just squatting there, he was still more useful and efficient than the others. Inside I yell, "anybody there?". There was actually. Across the room behind tons of scuba gear and laying on a bed, the owner answered and conversed all the while laying on his bed. He finally got up to engage in this conversation : 1) first time in Myrthos? -Yep. 2) Come for scuba diving lessons tomorrow! - No thanks. He lost all interest, got back inside and told us to wait for yet another guy. So the other dude arrives to take us to our room, 100 meters up the street away from the sea. So from the "sea side view" room you can't even guess that there is a sea, you get a poor narrow vista on the street and the taverna bellow, not that I care but the music blasting from the taverna does not allow you to stay in the room for too long. After he showed us how to open the paddle lock to the room that had no door, we discovered the modest room. We don't mind for 20€, but it doesn't compare to any room we ever had.

Everything but the beds! Fabulous location steps from the water, at the end of the main street so very quiet. Owner left us a nice selection of fruit, honey, wine, coffee, and bottled water. Espresso machine was great. Outdoor shower was nice coming back from beach. Very nice having lounges and umbrella already on the [rocky] beach. AC works great. Enjoyed sitting on the terrace and listening to the waves crashing. Just wonderful!

Beautiful location. Situated in the nature. Not far from a nice village. The host was outstanding.
Mirtos is a small, very friendly village. Great tavernas and bars. Several local shops for necessities. Lovely beach but sea can be a bit rough at times. A trip up to the villages in the mountains is a must. Have travelled around crete for 30 years but the past 7, been coming here. Mirtos has stolen our hearts !!

An excellent little village which combines sea and mountain activities. Relaxing place with a huge beach with trees. But please discover Myrtos on foot! So many paths start in this village, some of them are easy, around nearby hills; some you need to carry extra water to visit Mithi village or Sarakinas gorge. There is the Minoan settlement of Pyrgos and much more. We will surely come back to the beautiful village of Myrtos full of magnolia trees.

I liked Mirtos when it wasn't so full.
I also liked the fact that they try to discourage card entering the village so it's safer for padestrians.
Unfortunately, it has become very popular and it's too small to accommodate the amount of visitors that it gets.

Mirtos is a small village, that we feel, is unspoiled by tourism. There are several tavernas, all serving delicious food. A few small bars have greek music nights. If you are looking for night clubs or kareoke nights, this is not the village for you. But, it is our favourite !!!

A charming & pretty small coastal town with plenty of good tavernes and a pleasant beach, but in a normal year with full occupancy would be very overcrowded.
La Sera is a good taverna with exceptional house wine. O Platanos was sadly full. Everything easy walking distance but streets too narrow to want to drive in.
A good base to explore from.
This accommodation is underrated as there are apartments inside not hotel rooms of 16 square metres. A studio means 2 rooms: bedroom and living room. You have a kitchen that is fully equipped but who would want to cook when the food is incredible in all the restaurants and terraces outside. I prepared 2 teas and that's it, I haven't touched anything else from the kitchen. Ioanna is very nice and kind, there was a bottle of raki inside and some bread for a small breakfast. We enjoyed the balcony in the morning to its fullest.
Michalis was very helpful. The room was very clean, though small, and the outdoor terrace (ground floor) was perfect as we had a dog with us. The internet was very challenging, but Michalis tried his best to fix it, several times, and offered a different room with better internet, which we declined as we preferred the ground floor for the dog. Very convenient for walking to the beach, restaurants, etc. and we always found parking right by the hotel. The kitchenette has basic cooking materials and works just fine.
It was our second time staying here, and hopefully not the last. It's located just a few steps from the beach, all stores, restaurants and the pharmacy are also right next to the hotel. The hosts are very friendly and always go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and comfortable throughout your stay. Our room had everything we needed, with exceptionally comfortable beds. And the breakfast is amazing! :)
Great location in an amazing seaside village. Expect a laid back vibe and enjoy the whole experience.
The rooms are feeling their age but we slept like babes. There may be some plumbing issues but the hotel fits in with the whole boohoo feel.
Long may Myrtos remain this way.
The Paradise hotel is an exellent Hotel on the beach of Mytros and Mr Nicos is a very hospital and friendly owner of that place. You also can book a very nice boat trip to Christi Island .We had very good time there and Mytros is a nice and friendly place to stay
The hotel is right in the middle of Myrtos with everything a very short walk away.
Its a basic hotel with good value including an excellent and full breakfast.
The family were friendly and helpful.
The room was very comfortable and provide all we needed
The apartment is very well located, just on the seafront and close to all facilities. Large and well equipped leaving room and mainly large and superb balcony. And, of course, Myrtos is really a great place!
We enjoyed our stay in the Thalassa Apartments!
It‘s the second time I stay in Mirtos Hotel.
And it will not be the last one. I feel at home. The breakfast is made with love and I feel like at home, but better😀! I say thank you to Manolis, his wife and son.
I‘m looking forward to see them next year😀

Thanks a lot to you Jana and your lovely family!
Very nice apartments in a panoramic and quite location, secluded from the tourist hustle of Myrtos. Friendly and welcoming hosts, dogs and cats included :)
