Generally clean and ok, I was surprised by the fact that it's an old, more or less disused inn offering no hotel services, since they only rent out rooms. So it's by no means a Gasthaus as it's known in Germany.
The Highway Hotel is easily accessible off highway A 5, halfway between the city of Offenburg and Freiburg.

We have a room with 2 single beds and 1 bed ( queen size) can sleep 2 persons. It’s very clean and smell like it’s been cleaned well too. The bathroom is a bit old but clean and useable.

Central & convenient - Clean & quiet for a restful night. Free, on premises parking. Very safe area. The building has a lot of character, guaranteed for a memorable stay, in a typical German small town/village.

Riegel is a small village that oozes charm. We stayed after a fantastic day at Europa Park (20 minutes away). It was our daughters 11th birthday and she had fun playing in the village park, going to Riegler Biergarten for dinner and getting ice cream at a small shop.

we stayed here for 1 night travelling through Germany the location was very good and n a convenient location not far from the Motorway. Plenty of free parking in the hotel grounds.
Our room was very clean and comfortable.
We took evening dinner and breakfast at the hotel, the food was excellent and reasonably priced.
The staff where polite and very helpful.
we really enjoyed our stay.
The location is fantastic, within easy reach of Europa Park and the Black Forest. The hotel is in the middle of a charming village within easy reach from the main roads and Basel airport. The room was huge, at least twice the size of a standard premier inn/Travelodge hotel (UK readers will understand). Easy to park either on the street or in the small courtyard.
Generally clean and ok, I was surprised by the fact that it's an old, more or less disused inn offering no hotel services, since they only rent out rooms. So it's by no means a Gasthaus as it's known in Germany.
A great traditional hotel with a fantastic restaurant with very friendly staff. It also made us smile that they has a beer vending machine. We were made to feel very welcome and the room was comfortable.
The village of Riegel is charming. The hotel itself is close to the main road and easily accessible. Our room was clean and quiet. The staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good.
After driving for 12 hours (from Denmark) we had a very nice stay at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and the food at the restaurant was great. We will definitely come back :-)
