A small pleasant border town just across the bridge to Strasbourg. Particularity : 50% of the customers are visitors from Alsace and the "Black Mountain" (Schwarzwald) in just nearby. No problem for French visitors who can't speak German

The room I had must have been refurbished relatively recently as it was in good order, furnishings were new, a nice picture on the wall, a little rug in front of the bed, bed was comfortable, bathroom well appointed. The breakfast room / evening bar is very cosy and open till late, worth dropping in for a drink or their goulash soup. There is no lift but the staircase is nice and wide.

Outside paid car park shared with the x-ray department of the hospital and free street parking immediately opposite.

I don't even think there were glasses in the bathroom, or decorations on the wall. But - it is cheap - much cheaper than Strasbourg. The tram into the city is less than a five-minute walk away.
