Location was great as it was quiet, but old town was still within walking distance. The free parking was easy. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious (though you had to ask if you wanted things like yogurt or fruit so we didn't get any of that as we didn't know). It was fairly clean and the beds were comfortable.

It's absolutely beautiful! The Old Bridge (which was rebuilt after the war) is a favourite tourist attraction so the area was quite busy. There are loads of restaurants, gift shops and bars. Try Craft Beer Garden for local ales with a terrace next to the river. Our favourite restaurant was called Malo Misto - superb food, lovely atmosphere, great prices, just outside the central area.
Be aware that there are no shops open on Sundays, and hardly any taxis. We drove our rental car into the centre on Sunday and found free parking and plenty of restaurants to choose from.

Mostar is very pretty, famously so.
Mostar is very pretty, famously so. The Old Town is small, and the new town has nothing to offer tourists, so do stay in the Old Town as close to the Bridge as possible. During the day there are hordes of day trippers, but at night it is much quieter and very lovely, so staying the night is essential; I stayed two nights which was just fine. It is very picturesque but that is it - there are no headline museums etc. Lots of touristy places to eat, all much of a muchness. As with the rest of BiH, very reasonably priced. Great ice cream! If you are interested in the civil war, there are many signs in the new town and on the edge of the old town of the conflict. In addition, the old bridge is of course a reconstruction as is most of the old town.

Super cozy town to wander through.
Super cozy town to wander through. Nice little shops with handmade products, many restaurants and café with cheap food and drink.
Just avoid the cafee under the bridge called Eko co. Worst service and bad coffee - not autenthic Bosnian. Super expensive.

Mostar is a captivating city that embodies a unique blend of historical gravitas and scenic charm, making it a must-visit destination in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Nestled along the picturesque Neretva River, the city is famed for its iconic Stari Most (Old Bridge), a stunning example of Islamic architecture in the Balkans and a UNESCO World Heritage site. This historic bridge, beautifully reconstructed after the war, provides a symbolic connection between the city's diverse cultural and religious communities.
Visitors can explore the cobbled streets of the Old Bazaar, where traditional craft shops and quaint cafes offer a taste of local life and hospitality. The Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque is another highlight, offering panoramic views of the city from its minaret. Also FORTICA is the best place to see Mostar from the hill, highly recommend take taxi 1km per Kilometre… ask driver for pick up later or walk down.
Mostar also serves as a gateway to explore the region's natural beauty. Nearby attractions include the emerald waters of the Kravica Waterfall and the serene Blagaj Tekija, a Dervish monastery nestled against a cliff beside the Buna River, which is perfect for a peaceful afternoon outing and Pocitelj ahistorical place!
With its rich history, stunning architecture, and warm, welcoming atmosphere, Mostar is truly a jewel worth exploring. Each corner of the city offers new delights and a chance to step back in time while enjoying the vibrant local culture.
Best place to eat and value for money:
- Cernica chevabdzinca, (a hidden gem) mix grill platter 40km in Cernica street, also Rodjeni Pie shop.
- Best Pizza (cappricioza my fav) in Nidze Veze in Boulevar opposite the Catholic church.
- Asdzinica Saraj by the Karadzozbeg Mosque, best to eat early between 10-12am, best traditional food reasonable prices
Malta - outside Mostar on the way to Blagaj fabulous food reasonable priced

Even in spring, the famous bridge attracts an awful lot of tourists in the day and early evening, so do bear this in mind and be patient. However it is definitely worth seeing (best from the river) and if the weather is good do wait for the locals jumping off the bridge - this takes place about every 30-minutes. If you're on the bridge the divers may ask if can make a contribution. don't overlook the rest of the town and you can still see traces of the civil war if you walk further out. Sadly, someone removed the Bruce Lee statue, only the pedestal remains. Highly recommend train journey between Mostar and Sarajevo.
Super friendly staff, nice and spacious room and bathroom, good air conditioning, nice to be able to use the hotel's pool. Nice mountain view from the room. They also provided a lot of extra services that we didn't use - for example help with booking day trips, ordering flowers to the room or massage in the SPA.
Good breakfast in the morning even for a vegan (did not specify that when I made the booking), they even had soy/almond/oat milk and fruit and some vegetables. Took around 20 minutes to walk to the old town.
I spent two nights with my family in Vienna Story Guesthouse in August 2022. The owner greeted us with Bosnian coffee. The place is gourgeus, located nearest to the city centre. There is a private parking. Our room was very spacious, and very very clean :) Breakfast was delicious. The owner and his family were very kind and helpful with giving advices about attractions around Mostar. Thank you for your hospitality!
We will come back there in future for 100%..
Apartment Nedo is well above and beyond our expectation. Elo and his wife are very responsive and welcoming. The apartment is equipped with snacks, juice, and amenities such as soap, shampoo, and towels. Elo is also very friendly. Our car was parked inside the secure garage. The apartment is close to old town. Elo recommended several authentic Bosnian restaurant and it was very good food there. Definitely we will stay there if we are coming to Mostar again!
Hotel is amazing property in old stone-build style absolutely fit with the old town of Mostar. Room was separated providing restful space, and it was also with air conditioner and everything inside was great. But much more important was great and so kind stuff. When I say ‘kind’ this is underrated word as they were amazing. And not to forget they have restaurant with great view on old small bridge “kriva cuprija” and even better food.
The hotel is walking distance to the old town. Clean and comfortable, the family room is good size for 3 people, but small for 4, so Lajla, the extremely friendly lady at the reception, gave us another room for the kids at no charge (since there was availability!).It made all the difference in our stay, it was perfect and we loved it.
The hotel is perfect for enjoying beautiful Mostar, and the staff is super attentive and helpful.
Amazing hotel within 10 min walk from the Mostar bridge. Room was spacious with modern amenities, strong AC and comfortable beds. Room was spotless. Staff added another bed for extra person at no charge. Great quality breakfast: everything was fresh and delicious with many choices. One of the best breakfasts we've had on our trip. Parking was free. Check in was smooth and we felt welcome here. Great experiene!
Perfect location to visit Mostar on foot. Park your car and explore on foot the beautiful reborn town of Mostar after it was totally destroyed by the Yugoslavian wars. It brings hope that current countries being attacked and destroyed will be reborn as beautiful if not more beautiful than they were. Recommend to visit the Museum of Genocide, just a couple minutes away from the hotel.
Erna was the most wonderful host and one of the highlights of my entire trip through Bosnia, we had great talks, she is such an open and lovely person and I learnt so much about the city and the country! It's people like Erna that make trips special and leave a mark :)
The rooms are simple and nice and clean, everything one needs! The location of the hotel is great too!
This hotel was ideally suited for our short visit to Mostar. The staff drew out a walking route for us to visit the old and new town areas and the Christmas market. The hotel offers free parking and is just a block from the old town area and maybe 5 minutes walk to the Stari Most. We were traveling with our toddler, and the staff were extremely friendly with him.
The hotel is like a fairy tale. The food in the restaurant was the best on my 9-day trip through Bosnia. The rooms are very modern and clean. The location is the best in the heart of the old town next to the river. The staff fulfills every wish you have. I recommend this fabulous hotel to everyone who visits Mostar to stay here .
5 mins walk from bus station and 20 mins walk into old town.
Host Lena was fabulous, made Bosnian coffee for us each morning and even offered to do our laundry. Property has fully equipped kitchen, bakery and bars opposite and supermarket a short walk away.
Excellent base for exploring Mostar, would recommend for a short stay.
It was in perfect location. The staff was really nice. Also the bed was perfect, very hard and large. Air conditioner in the room was working great. It was located at the other side of the room so it was not disturbing when you were at sleep. Compared to the othet hotels in Bosnia - with that money, you can't go any better.
Very good run family hotel full of care
The young lady looking after the hotel goes the extra mile and make sure you happy
We had a late check in and the young lady waited for us later than supposed to.
She gave us advise where to go in Mostar
The CB place has all you need from kettle to washing machine, dryer, snacks …
Excellent location walking distance from old town, clean apartment with all facilities needed. The owners have superb attitude towards guests. They do everything to make your stay at Mostar special. we really like the people and the culture in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Highly recommended to everyone to visit here.
The best location - with easy access by car from main road(host provides parking), but on the other side is walking area on the old city, just from hotel entrance. The view from our room was incredible, I like it the most. The room was clean and comfortable. Good place to spend a night in the Mostar Old Center
The room was nicer, than I expected from the photos on booking.com. The bathroom was nice, clean and functional, but a bit small. The breakfast was very nice, with local and international cousine. The location is just around the corner from the old town and outside the hotel there's an ice-cream shop.
Great boutique hotel, authentic features and fixtures, lovely garden, very comfortable beds, staff friendly and helpful, welcome drink on arrival, tour of the museum after breakfast, great location, away from the noise but only a couple mins walk to old town Mostar and the bridge
Great and cozy hotel. Awesome roof to chill. Very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious and comfortable room. Very close to the main walking street as well is to Mostar Old Town area. Good breakfast with lots of options.
the host!! he's a former guide so he spent 30min went thru the map and what we should do in Mostar. He's very nice and accommodating and chill.
The hotel has free parking. it's very close to the main things.
Clean, quiet and modern little hotel with very friendly and helpful owners. Breakfast was also very nice. Location was perfect, with the Mostar bridge maybe a 5 minute walk.
