A stunning area in Austria, we stayed for 1 week for the skiing season which was perfect. We also thought that it would be a wonderful place to visit and stay, in Pension Rainer, for a walking holiday. The facilities, bars, cafes and restaurants were fantastic and everyone we met without exception were so welcoming, helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend and would definitely like to return again.

Ellmau is a nice village in the Brixental, with direct connection to the mountains. Nice place for skiing if there is snow enough. Later in the spring time they do the best to keep the slopes in a good condition and Skiwelt is a large area, so it's not difficult to find good slopes for skiing. Only when it is warm weather in the winter and many people comes (typically on Saturdays when many people from Munich comes here for one day skiing) then in the afternoon the condions for skiing are not so good like in the morning, it can be felt that the altitude of Skiwelt is not very high. Very good and nice restaurants everywhere for some lunch during the skiing day. We were satisfied with our family skiing stay.

One of the most spectacular of our stays was at the Tirol Lodge in Ellmau. Its an excellent location for direct access to the ski slopes and even though there was no snow when we were there you can see how fab it would be in snow season! The scenery was breathtaking.
We really enjoyed our stay at Apartments Steiner. Our hosts Maria and Otto were so very friendly and could not do enough to help us with our stay in Ellmau. The Appartements are absolutely spotlessly clean, and our room was very comfortable. The delicious breakfast buffet has a huge selection of various food’s to suit all tastes, and is always fresh and very well presented. We can’t thank Maria and Otto enough for making our stay in Ellmau a very special and memorable one. Many Thanks from Andy and Alison Hiscox.
The location, the modern style, the fully equipped kitchen, the cleanliness. Everything was brand new and very stylish. And I am picky with these things 😊. There were several practical hooks to hang clothes, mittens, bags on. Toilet and bathroom were separated, which also is very practical. The ski storage was also very practical, no stairs. The facility met all of my expectations. The host was also easily available via Whats App and in person.
Apartment was very nicely furnished, well equipped, beds were comfortable. Everything is modern and matches provided photos.
Location is close to town centre, everything within walking distance (restaurants, groceries). Ski bus stop was about 50m away, so we didn't have to use car during our week long stay at all.
Host was nice and had no problem providing small xmas tree with stand for us as we arrived with children on 24th of December.
The property is quite different from all the other accommodations nearby since it is new, rooms are modern and mix the minimalist look with locally seen materials. The room was spotlessly clean, the shower was great.
The big pro of the hotel is the additional facilities such as a pool, gym equipment etc, none of these are really readily available in the traditional accommodation types.
the food was lovely as well as the placement and the facilities . what we liked most was the professionalism and friendliness of the staff especially Tsonka and Dimitar taking care of us in the restaurant and lobby bar as well as Silvia helping us relax in the spa after a long day of skiing. the attention to detail was like no other. we look forward to visiting next year.
We were enjoying almost whole stay: first of all we enjoyed sauna and spa. It located on the roof of main building and has amazing view to the mountains. We set alone and saw how snow flakes are playing and falling down. Swimming in the open pool after - priceless. The whole hotel is well designed, in every detail you are enjoying interior design and decor.
Great location, at the bottom of a run and next to a ski hire centre. It is close to the village centre with bars, restaurants and supermarkets but is in a quiet location. It has very comfortable beds, easily adjustable heating and a lovely living room with doors to a sunny patio and Netflix on the TV! The Loy family were very welcoming and helpful.
Great host and family. This is a very historic hotel whose owner's father helped Ellmau become the skiing destination that it is today. The rooms were designed to host large families and had the 1st elevator among all hotels in the region.
The rooms are spacious and they overlook the mountain. The staff and service are great as well.
An amazing, family run middle-sized luxury hotel. Recently renewed facilities. Very friendly place, perfect for family stays. Not cheap but delivers all that is promised. The food, the restaurant is excellent. The breakfast game is high quality and the dinner is Gault Millau quality.
The location is ideally located, close to both Elmau and Kitzbhuel. There are ski lifts within walking distance of the hotel. The breakfast is filling and plentiful. The staff were welcoming and very happy to help. The hotel was very clean and spacious.
The hosts (Keith and Manu) were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The property was clean and equipped with all the essentials.
The location is excellent for skiing in the Ski Welt area with ski lifts nearby.
Thank you for the hospitality.
Very efficient staff with Personal touch, excellent location, beautiful place and amenities, great breakfast and dinner ( with waiters going out of their way to attend to your needs) great music band on wednesdays at the bar , with super bartender
The public room with view on the Wilder Kaiser, the kitchen, balcony, place to sit outside and storage for our stuff while we were on a cabin hike. There is no breakfast served. But the M-preis supermarket is very near by.
Location is perfect right in the middle of town. For the price (we had 3 in a large room) it was very good vfm. The bus stop is a 30 second walk and ski shop right underneath the block.
The apartment is very clean and comfortable. Wifi works good, and there is a parking spot. The host is very friendly and helpful. There are ski lifts nearby.
