The location was in the city center, right inside the old city within a very short walking distance from all the main places. The staff is caring and takes care of every need, they provide toilet paper and water when needed, and advise on tours in the area. All in all, a place with a very pleasant atmosphere, spacious rooms and a very fair value for the price.

The private rooms are huge and you get a double bed and private bathroom with a hot efficient shower. The views from the room are breathtaking, you can see the Himalayas, and are incredible at sunrise, it feels like you are living in the clouds. The rooms are set in their own area away from the family home so it's very peaceful and private so you can have plenty of solitude in the quiet mountains, but it felt very homely and special to join the family and eat in the communal area, having each meal cooked fresh with ingredient from the farm. The family all care about their guests so much always making sure they have the best time. Staying here is such a special experience to live close to a local family to learn from them about their farm, the passion for a happy life, their culture and traditions.

I had a very pleasant stay. The room was comfortable, I always use a desk, wardrobe and a kettle so it was great and helpful to have those. I stayed at other places that didn't have these, and so I missed not staying there longer. Staff was very kind and helpful. I will definitively recommend this place. Other guests staying at the property were very nice and there was a great vibe at the place. Loved the terrace and bhaktapur area. Thank you for everything!

I sit outside the restaurant area to enjoy the beautiful sunset. The owner, Keshav,his wife and two lovely daughters are so nice and warm. Keshav cook vey well. I miss his tradition nepal breakfast. Here also provide hair dryer and yoga mat. I have good time here.

When it comes to friendly staff, Gurung's home is top of the line. The Airline lost our luggage and the personel at Gurung did its best to help us. For a budget hotel, you get great value for your money. In the end we paid peanuts for a 2 day stay and great breakfast. The water in the showers is heated via solar panels. So don't expect a warm shower from the start. But again, you get a warm welcome, a decent bed and good breakfast. What more could you want after a busy day in Kathmandu.

Although the hotel was doing building work they let us stay. We were not troubled by the work and the hotel owner was extremely friendly. The hotel is in a narrow street with not much traffic, just the occasional motorbike (unlike other streets nearby which are full of bikes), and therefore relatively quiet given its situation in the middle of the city. We would not hesitate to stay again.
