Stopped off on our way to cork, and we loved everything about our stay . From the moment we walked into the house and were greeted by our host , we knew we were somewhere special. From the comfy sitting room and the snug under the stairs to the bedroom, everything was perfect. Beautiful grounds and probably the best breakfast I've ever had. I can see why people go back year after year. Until next time....

The traditional Breakfest was high above our expectations and Clare and Colin are really friendly people with a amazing and compfy home. The garden was very beautiful and everything was peaceful and felt like home. We wished we had stayed longer with them. Hopefully we can make it back in another year and stay there longer. Very nicely renovated old cottage close to town but rustic. Adorable friendly dogs and two peacocks. Lovely touches; with a nod to the fact that her property was formerly an equestrian center. Well equipped kitchen. Toiletries, dish soap, spices etc. provided. There is another larger house on the same property. We found that once the other guests checked into that property that our Wi-fi became more sporadic. We also lost hot water one day and when we contacted the owner to ask (she did not reach out to us) it turned out that the other guests has somehow turned off the hot water supply. No TV which is fine with us but may be a negative for some. The bathroom especially the shower would be a problem for a plus-size individual and the property is definitely not suitable if you’re mobility challenged. The owner is very friendly and laid back but available as needed. She provided the EIR code location (we had never heard of this, being from the US).
