We loved the breath-taking view and the soothing noise of the ocean and we slept so well for 2 nights ! On the terrace we enjoyed our dinner (and breakfast)… looking at the waves and sunset. Perfect. Nila welcomes you, she is lovely, but only speaking Portuguese (Thanks to google translator I could communicate with her). João Chen is such a great, attentive host who gave all the necessary information and always quickly responded to my (written) questions. He gave such useful advice. (for a fantastic authentic restaurant etc). Thanks a lot. Highly recommended !!

Excellent location in a beautiful little village overlooking the Atlantic. Views are great. The house is very tastefully decorated and a lot of thought has gone into everything. In fact the pictures on the website show the house exactly as it is. The kitchen is fully equipped inclusive of a Nespresso coffee machine with several capsules provided. The owner is very friendly and very good with communications. Provided excellent instructions for the check in and everything in the house as well as great tips and advice for nearby restaurants, attractions and things to do. There is an abundance of things to visit and do in nearby Sintra and along the beach.

The rooms are extremely clean and well cared for with lots of attention to detail. There is coffee and delicious home made cake available during the day. The staff are really helpful and friendly .

Um Lugar ao Sol is a beautifully decorated home in an exquisite location. We were delighted by the thoughtful touch of small snacks left for us. The comfortable bed made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
