This is a truly fabulous place to stay in St Lucia. Soufriere is a great location to base yourself. It is central to so much the best of the island. The surrounding countryside and rain forest are gorgeous with many stunning views, hikes, gardens and plantations. The choice of nearby beaches is excellent, all beautiful. It’s easy to get around by water taxi or find a driver. We opted for a hire car for the entire 10-day holiday and loved the freedom it gave us to explore the island at our own pace, stop for photos where and when we wanted, drive down roads less travelled and have our own adventures. The island feels like a safe place. People are friendly, approachable, and helpful. The roads can be a bit bumpy and steep in places, but it’s all manageable. The Suite Spot Apartment is in a very convenient location for shopping in Soufriere, as well as for getting to the local beach, bus station and market. It is easy to find. We came by hire car and found the house in a tropical rainstorm in the dark. Parking is uncomplicated and safe. Suite Spot is a spacious one-bedroom ground floor apartment, comfortable and beautifully presented. It is good value for money on an island where accommodation can get quite pricy. Everything is newly renovated and lovingly put together. The décor is tasteful and homely with many personal touches. There is a wonderful inside/outside space, providing a cool interior on a hot day and an airy exterior for meals outdoors. The bedroom has air conditioning, so you are never too hot at nights. The kitchen is well equipped. Arletta, the host, lives on the first floor above. She is generous with providing all the little necessities and personal touches that other places might not offer. She is that nice combination of thoughtful and caring without invading privacy at all. She will willingly offer help and advice with trips should you need it or leave you to do your own thing. It’s caring without being intrusive.

This place totally exceeded our expectations. If you plan to explore Soufriere area this place has everything. Walking distance to the beach and grocery store and a short drive to all of the activities you can do. We stayed in the 2 bedroom and was really impressed with how much space there was. In the main bedroom there is A/C and we put a fan in there and had one of the best sleeps we had on the island since the bed is quite comfortable unlike our other stays (we stayed in 4 places.) if your looking for a simple place that checks all the boxes this one is great and we would happily come back with our kids and stay much longer since the place is fully equipped for a longer stay. Sadia is so kind and I wish her family all the best!

The apartment had great views of Petit Piton. It was charming, clean, nicely furnished. The entire building only had 3 apartments. Two were one-bedroom units and located on the upper level. The other was a two-bedroom unit located on the lower level. We occupied the single-bedroom one and family members occupied the two-bedroom one. We were there from December 18 - 31st. The building was within walking distance from the beach, restaurants, banks, supermarket, the Mall. The beach had exceptional snorkeling. We visited various locations in the island and the snorkeling was the best in Soufriere Beach. Our facility caretaker, Sonia, checked with us every day, and cleaned when we needed her to. She made sure we had the requisite amenities and replenished them as needed. She volunteered to cook a traditional breakfast for us on Christmas Day, free of charge! We thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent there. The internet was very strong.

The view was amazing, it was really nice to sit out there in the evenings listening to the sounds of the town. The room was great, exactly what we needed, a comfortable bed and air conditioning to help us get used to the change in climate. We really appreciated the plunge pool for after walking up the hill, particularly if done mid-day (we tried to time it so we walked up once the sun was off that part of the road). I know a lot of reviews mention the hill, if you live somewhere with hills it's a sustained uphill walk but it is doable and the price you pay for that view! Finally, Whitney and David (the driver) were wonderful and incredibly helpful! We didn't rent a car and they made it easy for us to get where we needed to go.

Nice, comfortable apartment with all necessities. The host was very welcoming and helpful. Convenient location to walk to the supermarket, several waterfalls, and the beach in town. We have greatly enjoyed the stay and would love to come back!
