It looks much better than in the pictures. The location is very convenient, near the main road and not far from town. The kitchenette is fully equipped, even with coffe pods, milk, tea... The room is large and comfortable, as the bathroom. Comfrotable beds, tv with netflix and other streaming services.

This family-run hotel enjoys a countryside location by Road 93, overlooking central Egilsstadir, 2 km away. Free WiFi access in the lobby and garden views can be enjoyed. A great secluded hotel accommodation just slightly off the main road, and a few minutes drive from Egilsstaðir and very close to the start of Route 93 towards Seyðisfjörður Staff were very friendly, and the common facilities [WC | Breakfast Buffet | Hot Tubs] were clean and readily accessible. Additional towels and bath robes available on request. Very attractive lounge with a balcony available at all times near the reception desk. The cabins were very cozy and compact, with sink + stove | dining table | bed | couch all in one area, then narrow bathroom off to the side. The hotel is in a prime location for Northern Lights viewing as well. I would recommend walking past the reception area and parking to the small gravel road leading down to the secluded house, and setting up there along the road. If preferring other locations for viewing, there are numerous parking spots on Route 93 as well, which are far enough from the town where light pollution isn't much of a concern.

The kitchen was really well equipped. We had a good parking spot right in front of the house. Nice quiet area in the living parts of the town. We came to enjoy the Vök baths (really great place) and ended up in an extreme snowstorm. We got an experience of a lifetime in the canyons near the town.

Ormurinn Cottages is located in Egilsstadir. Free WiFi access is available throughout the property. We loved this cottage, it was a little heavenly home (while a snow storm was happening outside) and we felt warm, cosy & safe. Well equipped, and of course beautiful surroundings. Overlooking Lake Lagarfljót, this guest house is 5 minutes’ drive from central Egilsstadir. All rooms include free WiFi access, a fridge and a private bathroom with shower. The shared kitchen is new and equipped with everything we need to cook. The dining area has enough space for everyone to sit in and enjoy the meal there. The self check in and check out process is great. There is a storm throughout the night, but we feel safe and comfortable in the guesthouse. The chocolate powder is sweet. We enjoy our stay there.
