Dolittle Cottages is set in Swellendam and has a pool with a view and mountain views. There is a private entrance at the chalet for the convenience of those who stay. We were just driving through and needed a place to stay. The hostess was lovely and accommodating. The unit is fully equipped nice kitchen, braai and the rooms are comfy with a backup generator. As a bonus (if you like animals) there were donkeys sheep and chickens to hang out with. Would stay there again anytime.

Bergview Guesthouse Swellendam in Swellendam provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a bar and barbecue facilities. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. Lovely garden suite, tasteful decor, scrupulously clean and neat, electric blanket, good plunger coffee, delicious chocolates. Thank you dear Lidia for the warm welcome and excellent breakfast served, complimented by a fire in the hearth. We shall be back.

Set in Swellendam, less than 1 km from Drostdy Museum and 2.8 km from Swellendam Golf Course, The Upper Deck Apartment offers a garden and air conditioning. We stopped in Swellendam on our way from the airport to the Garden Route, so the location was not a destination for us. The Upper Deck was welcoming, clean, and relaxing. We appreciated the spacious apartment, with much more to offer than we needed in terms of utensils and household items. The upper deck itself (outside the apartment) has cozy seating and would be something we would enjoy on a longer stay, but we did not spend enough time on this trip. We slept well, despite some slight occasional noise from the road. The breakfast was delicious, including hot items, and got us ready for the day.
