This place was amazing. An absolute paradise. First off, the main guy that welcomed us is truly kind. They even have an honor system with drinks that immediately gives you a more homely and open vibe. The facilities are new and something unlike most budget places. He allowed me to play my music and even jammed out with us a bit. Def one of the better places I stayed in Egypt if not, the best.

The best part was the host. Mohammed was a super nice host - very responsive and easy to communicate. I got there after midnight, and I even had to leave the hotel at 3.30am for a super early morning tour on the same day, but thankfully he arranged the airport pickup and the boat. For the 3.30am boat ride, he stayed awake until around 3.40am to make sure that I made the boat ride on time. And the view from the terrace was magnificent. It was such a pity that I didn't have enough time to enjoy the view while my stay at the hotel. The room was clean with basic furniture - bed, wardrobe, a small fridge, a bedside table and a private bathroom. The hotel is a minute away from the jetty, and right before the jetty, there is a little shop where you can get almost anything. In a nutshell, it was worth the money.

Pros: - It's next to the Nile! - The rooms that were right smack to the Nile come with cozy, sunny balcony. You could see felucca passed by, which was magical - Their staff, always helpful and friendly. We had a 20kg luggage each and they helped us willingly :)

Staff was amazing - room was very clean and the shower was hot. They provide free transport across on their private boat even at midnight. Gasser was very friendly. Breakfast was good and they provide a lot of food.

The location was excellent. The staff and the people managing were very friendly and helpful. The food was exceptionally good and is highly recommended. Everyone spoke English so no communication issues. The owner has their own boat so you can for a price can utilize it to go anywhere. Very peaceful and calming place. It is highly recommended. Staff were extremely polite and helpful. Especially thanks to Ahmed, we could spend great time there. The guest house is located in the heart of Nubian Village, people are great. Very clean and cute rooms. Good value for a cost efficient trip. But the greatest part was the breakfast. It was humble but the best, especially comparing similar hotels and guest houses in Egypt. We will always remember this cute village and Lawanda Nubian House. Thank you!

Everything was perfect - staying at Kafana's might be the best choice we made on our trip so far! Kafana is so helpful and communicative, and our room was very clean and comfortable. The shower was nice and hot, the bed was super comfortable, and the view can't be beat. Kafana helped us get some laundry done quickly, change up some money, and arrange transportation to make our short stay in Aswan as easy as possible. They also made us a fantastic breakfast. We loved every minute of our stay. Thank you, Kafana!
